I'm kicking off the streak with a one-mile family fun run tomorrow morning. So far, my six year old is excited about it. I'm hoping to drag some others along with us.

So, my first mile of the streak will be slower than my normal snail pace, but I'll be running with a super cute running buddy, so it will be worth it.

I was 1:45 into my 2:00 hour training ride when I realized...oh crap!  I have to run today too!  So, immediately hit the TM for a 1 mile run when I got off the bike.  It actually felt really good!  So, day one done!

Happy Thanksgiving all!

What can we can this challenge for short?  I want to note it in my training log, but need a shortened version of it!

You can go with the Holiday Running Streak, that is what the Runner's World folks call it.

1.95 miles in today. I thought my little guy would slow me down on the first lap (he was doing only one; I was running three), but he took off and only looked back to wave at me. Little stinker. He ran the whole .65 miles, too. Never walked once.

Anyway. Day one done.

Day two is going to be a struggle. I wasn't feeling that great yesterday, and by early afternoon, I was down with an intestinal bug. Fortunately, I am feeling better now, but still very weak. I may have to sneak out of the house to run one mile. My family will kill me.

ugh, that sucks. On days with intestinal bugs a 1 mile walk would suffice, and probably actually be a good thing to rid one of said intestinal bug

There are not that many flights on stairs on a submarine (I saw your avatar!) - unless they redesigned them from my days or are you on the big boy?

I'm on a dry docked sub.  All the stairs comes from all the scaffolding surrounding the ship.  I get a lot of vertical ladder climbing in, too.

Day 1:  FAIL.  I've been getting my arse handed to me by a vicious head cold since Tuesday.  I was in no shape for running on Thursday.  Didn't eat much either, for the same reason.  The cold destroyed my appetite.

Day 2.  5K, with my running partner, my daughter.  :-)  She was excited to find out we ran into a different county.

Day 3 is today... Approximately 132 feet of ladder climbing, most of it vertical.  I'm planning to bug out on this 24 hour shift, as they don't need me, which means I should be able to squeeze in another 5K or so tonight.

Day 2: Fail. I could barely manage vertical, let alone forward motion.

Day 3: 2.70 miles. Very hard. Wow. It was almost painful.
