Great job! I'm waiting for the rain to stop before starting my Stage 3. I'll give it another 15 minutes or so. It's a small cell but it doesn't need to be hanging out right over me!

Stage 2 done! 15.53 miles and probably only 1 hour 15 of riding even though my log will read 1.5 hours. I forgot to hit stop on my Garmin for our many stoppages. My husband requested to go for a ride (I usually ride alone) so I altered my plan a little bit and let him pick the course, mistake #1! Long story short, he felt like upchucking throughout various points in the ride despite multiple stops for him to rest and also sent us on this wild goose chase through the countryside trying to pick the best route home. That will be the last time I let him pick the route! All things considered, he still ended the ride happy, whew! I was, too, because none of it was my 'fault'!

I took my cross bike out for a cruise today. I think that this is a bonus stage. I may need instructions on adding to my totals

Stage 1, 6/29, group ride

Stage 2, 6/30, solo ride

Stage 3, 7/3, brick

Stage 4, 7/4, Firecracker 100k (ok, so the current route is 60 miles, whatever)

Stage 5, 7/5, cross bike cruise

Well, since your 100k was short - probably not necessary

Day 2 of non-stop rain here in Nashville. And tomorrow looks like it'll be more of the same. Had to cancel what was supposed to be my first 50-mile ride yesterday. (Wasted vacation day, sigh...)

Hopefully the weather gets better this weekend, or I'm gonna be seriously behind on my goals...

Yeah, that's one reason that I used time instead of miles. I'm not "fast" on the trainer for the same effort.

Yeah, that's one reason that I used time instead of miles. I'm not "fast" on the trainer for the same effort.

I'm actually a little "faster" on the trainer than the road for the same RPE/HR. I also weigh almost 200, so I can power through the trainer rides but when you get gravity involved I'm in trouble.

I wish I weighed almost 200 lbs. !!! That is the goal. I wanted to leave the Clydesdale category and it left me. I have been bouncing around just under the new limit all year and I use to be just over the old

Got some ok rides in the last couple of days but my legs have been tired. Hopefully get some recovery in today and tomorrow and hit it well again next week.

Weather finally cleared this afternoon! Stage 3 and 60 more miles completed! My longest ride before today was only 42 miles, so I'm super-excited that I actually finished it!

Stages 6 and 7 completed

Stage 6 was a group ride out of a local bike shop

Stage 7 was the front half of today's brick.

I ended up leaving a little late this morning because I made the mistake of checking in with Phil Liggett and Paul Scherwen before leaving. Damn them and their early coverage!

P.S. I thought the rules were no spoilers for the first 24 hours?

First rest day on the tour - Hard to believe 9 stages are already in the books - As a team, we are right about on track.
Keep it up - Ride Lots and lets all get to Paris (100% of goal for tour first timers)

70 minutes on the trainer...tempo/sweet spot intervals. Stage 10 in the books, 8:30:00 total...still 20 minutes behind the "leaders" (i.e. my goal).
