I wouldn't say ugly. Good running game and Seattle played strong defense. Perfect game considering the conditions. Although, Golden Tate once again has a key drop at the end of the game.

x2. There's no such thing as an ugly playoff win. The Saints played well in the second half. Go Hawks!

Seattle played well, and considering they were up more than a TD for most of the game, they didn't need to take a lot of risks.  Two missed FGs, the personal foul play that lead to the FG, and the careless fumble that lead to the TD really changed the outlook of the game for New Orleans.

New England's ability to run the ball makes them a pretty big threat as the weather gets colder.  Collins, Blount, and Edleman with monster games.

Seattle and New England looked good. I'm going to the game to watch my Broncos beat San Diego tomorrow and get ready for the Pats.

Nevermind, that was just Russel Wilson. Don't worry, common mistake.

The people saying Seattle looked good must be fans. Seattle looked pretty bad that game. NO couldn't get a TD if Seattle was still in the locker room and Seattle almost blew it. NO put together one drive. If Seattle plays like that next week they're done. Their offense has been off for a few weeks and they better find it.

Your RB is an animal though. Hopefully a pee wee coach comes to SF and teaches how to stop him...WRAP! It should be a fun week next week. SFvsSeattle and Manning vs Brady IV.

Very inconsistent and questionable officiating across all playoff games so far. I'm almost embarrassed to be an NFL fan.

The Broncos concern me.  They just let SD hang around and couldn't close it...  Not sure what's going to happened against NE and/or SEA/SF if they get there.

HOWEVER, that game was a play or two away from being a route.  A pick in the end zone kept it from being 21-0 AND getting the ball back to start the second half (24 or 28 to 0 then?)

Decker falls over his own feet on the return instead of taking it to the house?  Holliday returns one for a TD to have it called back?  Lose an on-side kick?  Craziness.

I almost saw the nightmare unfolding before my eyes.  That 3 and 17 conversions was HUGE but still didn't start breathing again until that first down conversion after the two minute warning.  I knew they could run the clock down to 30 seconds - BUT had the image of last year when the Ravens threw up a prayer to tie it in the last seconds...

Chris Harris is out for good. The only reason they scored points pretty much. That's a big loss against the Pats. They will have to get some work done this week to shore up the secondary. Jammer didn't cut it.

I still like our chances. The game was awesome. The house was rocking.

I guess the way I look at, they built a big halftime lead--shutting NO out completely in the first half. They played conservatively, in the bad weather,  in the second half protecting the big lead and the defense did more than enough to secure the win.

If they get up big on SF early, watch out! That's been the recipe for the 9'ers the last two times they've been to Seattle-- cumulative score of 71-16 over those two games.

I just realized how much I am not a fan of the Niners this weekend. The Panthers-Niners game was "chippy" on both sides, but I really took a dislike to them more than usual. I thought Kaperpunk mocking Cam Newtons endzone celebration was immature, but then once I saw the post game interview, it was what I expected.

Kaperpunk in backwards hat, Beats headphones and hoodie=winning QB

Newton in a nice three piece suit= losing QB

I am not a fan of Newton necessarily, but he showed alot more class I thought.

You're just a hater Brad! The wind was brutal for most of the game (hence Brees having barely 100 yds by the end of the 3rd). The Seahawks were up by 16 in the 2nd half so they went conservative and just tried to run it rather than throw in that wind. The only reason NO even had a remote is because all the bounces went their way late. Chancellor dropped an INT that was right to him in the 4th. Thomas/Maxwell collided and Meacham ends up with a 52 yard fluke catch. Bennett caused a fumble that the refs blew dead otherwise it would've been Seattle's ball. Than Tate whiffed the onside kick. So with all of that..the Saints still needed a TD and 2 point conversion to TIE the game.

We'll see how Kaepernicks new Beats headphones help him out. So far all he's done is crap the bed in Seattle.

Josh, We will have to disagree with how well Seattle has done in the last 4-5 games. Personally I think their offense has been and continues to struggle. There defense is stellar, although watch out if the refs actually figure out what PI and defensive holding is.

I completely agree that Kaep has a lot to prove in Seattle and has been TERRIBLE the two times he's been there.

Side note, did you know that there is actually a rule in the NFL that if the crowd is too loud that the refs can throw a flag and penalize the home defense for the noise. I guess it's been in the books for a long time but hasn't been called in many years. (I don't think it should be called, I just found it interesting).

Really, the Kaepernick mocking Cam got you? Then you didn't see when Carolina beat the Niners in San Fran, when almost every defensive player did the kissing the bicept "Kaep" thing after a big play and some of their offensive players did the same. It's a game, their kids (for the most part), they were having fun.

He is still young, remember that for the first few years Newton would pull his hoody over his head and pout during his post game interviews. Everyone only sees the big interviews but you dig deeper and you'll see that he's just a regular guy, not a thug.

Case in point- My Niners will play against Richard Sherman this weekend. On the field he is a giant, smack talking, . Off the field, a Stanford grad, well educated, and very knowledgeable. But then maybe if he doesn't wear a suit it won't matter to some. I don't like him but I think on the field antics and attire shouldn't be the measuring stick society uses to judge a man or a woman.

I agree that Kaepernick is a bit immature.  I also understand he's like 25 years old.  Like Barkley said...he's not a role model or anything.

What's funny though is you compare him to Newton...who has been known in the past for being horribly immature at his press conferences and how he handles questions.  Yes, he has changed his attitute a bit, mostly because the Panthers organization is working with him on it as it has become a distraction for the team.

But while we're posting press conference photos...there's this.

Yeah, it did bug me actually! All I know is I would never expect that reaction from Brees, Manning, Brady or Wilson (maybe Rivers and Newton would, I don't know) plus the fact that I really do not like the Niners!

I thought it got old that both sides were in each others face after every play, but it did make it interesting.

Plus I'm sure he would never mock anyone. Certainly not by doing an Atlanta area dance as a touchdown celebration in Atlanta.

Of the remaining teams, I greatly dislike the 49'ers. Not so much because of the team, I've just never liked Kaepernick.
Fortunately, I don't think they stand a chance in Seattle, so by Sunday evening it won't matter.

I'm nervous for the Broncos/Pats game. I'm hopeful for the Pats, but realistically it's an uphill struggle.
The Pats looked impressive against the Colts, but they're a different team when they're playing in Foxboro.
The Broncos looked very comfortable last night, from a neutral viewers perspective.

Next Sunday can't come quick enough.

Yes, we could all do without all the showboating that goes on. What's with the whole having to jump up and signal first down all the damn time? But, this is the new breed coming up. It's not going away.

I'll deal with it, well, because I love the niners. Miss the days where players just did a fist pump and got back in the damn huddle though. My kids however, love the Kaepernick thing just like my inlaw's kids love that discount double check belt dance Rodgers does.
