Yes, I agree with Renee, Fish has a particular approach that would seem unnatural in anybody else, so, no replacement.

OTOH, I really like the idea of Bear doing it... his take on things is often the vocalization of a large number of BTers opinions who otherwise keep quiet.

That's just the kind of post Bear loves.  So decisive.  Maybe you should ask COJ to make up your mind for you on this.

Not for nothing, but I WOULD like it if someone could carry on the Poetry Thursday Thread.

Yeah and while I'm at it, maybe I can get my daily affirmation and perhaps hope for some fulfillment that I don't get from human interaction (off the internet). Ah, CoJ, like MS Word, can do so much, yet, when used incorrectly, delivers so little.

If this is to be taken as confimation that you DON'T want anyone to fill in on the WIL threads then I withdraw my original nomination, and basically the whole thread.  Especially the picture of mr2tony.

WWTBD died after after some juvenile moron (that would be you) asked a question about wiping your butt.

Wow, for someone as imperfect as yourself, you sure are good at judging others. BTW, my IQ is much higher than the IQ of a moron; by definition, a moron has an IQ between 50 and 69.

There's a distinct difference between not caring to ask how COJers would handle the most mudane of life situations, and not giving a "rat's a$$ about anything in COJ. Sorry but you fail the audition because a basic understanding of the English language is required for this position.

Funny you should mention a basic understanding of the English language; the word [sic]mudane does not exist in the English language, hypocrite!

And please, talk to a professional about your unhealthy obsession with evil.

The thing that I love most about this forum, is that it's mostly free of people like you. Free of people belittle others to make themselves feel superior.

I apologize to everyone besides the bear who read this!

EDIT: Oh, and I vote for CitySky!

Aw, that's so cute, especially the way you mistake a typo for a misunderstanding of the English language. Further proof of my assessment.

And all we need is your presence to enable us to feel superior.

So I'm assuming I've lost you as a stalker?

Don't mind The Bear ... he's just the resident curmudgeon.

If he were happy and polite that'd be very un-curmudgeon-ish of him, and then the universe would stop implode upon itself and we'd all die. So really, we kind of owe our existence to The Bear's curmudgeon-ness. And such.

Awesome.  This may be the best thing you've ever written...EVER.  =

It's shameless pandering.

Oh, and I love the grammatical errors in the post criticizing Bear for a typo on the word mundane.  That's subtle humor that you don't find just anywhere.  COJ is so special!

Specifically, some CoJers are so special.

I do need to apologize to morons everywhere, I had no idea that their intelligence range was so high when I lumped that guy in with them. I stand corrected.

But evidently I was correct about the "juvenile" part.

Cheetah - 2007-09-17 9:12 PM What I learned in COJ – Special Audition Edition It’s only Monday, so I don’t have 10… 1.There are officially 48 different ways for COJ to say ‘masturbation’, many of which make me want to, “Keep hitting my head with my fist until my brains come oozing out.” Uh Oh, make that 49! 2.I’m glad Al Gore didn’t win. 3.The Bear doesn’t care what he would do because he let the ‘WWTBD’ thread die. 4.Miss South Carolina has proven that you can’t have both beauty and brains. And that most teens can’t like, stop like, saying like, like all of the time. 5.The Bear doesn’t give a rats a$$ about anything in COJ, but he continues to post here… hmmmm…. 6.I hope that when jszat is old and in a nursing home, that he doesn’t continue to live by “Rule Number Five.” BTW, rule number five in his house states that pants are optional.

I am honored to make your list but must admit that if I go nursing home, I can feign crazy and therefore pass of sans pants with no backlash.  Egads, I am ill now.

Sure looks like seashells to me.  How can we trust someone to write the weekly review who doesn’t know his nuts from shells?

That could be one of the funniest lines I've ever read!

Why, thanks, loosey...I appreciate the nod, but am going to respectfully decline. Why?  It's not my thing.   But if someone else wants to follow the Fish, or even start something else fresh and cool, by all means, have at it.

Make COJ your thing. It's wiiiide open.

Cheetah, thanks for your vote.  The trick with the bear is that you can't take him TOO seriously.  The abrasive thing is just his curmudgeon schtick.  In real life, he wouldn't hurt... well, wouldn't hurt that many people.  (Plus he walks around with an amazing Angel, which really helps the image.)

I like Fish's idea that we start a "One Thing I Learned in COJ this Week" thread.  Sample:

I learned that the best way to describe your vacation to a bunch of endurance athletes is to take good pictures of the food.  Smart move, run4yrlife--thanks!
