i had to drop down to level 2 because of my wrist. Maybe level 1 wouldn't be such a bad idea. Bleah.

Going to start the push up challenge again after my vacation this upcoming week. I managed to get the 100 near the end of winter last year but after a year of no strength stuff and just Tri training I fear I've lost quite a bit of push up fitness.

somewhere -- was it on the pushup site? -- it was suggested that those with wrist issues do the pushups on their knuckles... yes,http://www.hundredpushups.com/what.html scroll down to "knuckles"

I've just completed week 1, day 3, column 2, bench pushups!  onwards!

I did my first test one day last week.  I did 26 that day.  I started on week 3 per the chart.

Sat-Mon-Wen.

I am finding the last set is dang near impossible to hit the max number they are telling me to hit.  Might have to repeat a couple days.  But I have found that I can do more than the 26 that was my max.

Seems I'm in too.

Since I can normally manage between 35-40, I had to start on week 3 but, as was already mentioned, the final set is near on impossible!

Admittedly it does say rest 60 secs (or longer if needed) and I only just managed to reach 20 after about 90secs rest, but it felt like cheating

week 3 day 2. Was meant to do 20-25-15-15-25, managed 20-25-15-15-16. Think I'll drop down to column 2 for day 3 and see how that goes.

Week 4 Day 1 (Column 2: 18-22-16-16-25).

Last 25 were a major struggle, but just about managed it (slowly!). Dawned on my this morning that I had done 97 pushups which is about triple the amount I've ever done in one evening

I just started this yesterday.  I also decided to do their 200 situp and 200 squat challenge also!

After the initial tests, I'm able to start all 3 in the 3rd week, so did Week 3, Day 1 in the 3rd column for push ups and sit ups.  I'm doing the first day of squats tonight.

Seems like a very good progression, although I have to admit it seems like a stretch after the 6th week to jump up to 100 for the final test.  I might end up adding in a couple more weeks and continue to build up.  We'll see a month from now!

Just re-re-restarted the program too.  And throwing in the situp and squat challenge also.

I'm not doing the tests, just the program.  Going to do the 2nd column then the 2rd column of each week and stretch it out to a 12 week program for my winter strength training.

Planned on starting this a few weeks ago but never did. With Tri season over just started back with some strength training this week so assuming the soreness from that works itself out next week I'll start with my test and get going.

I'm in!  One of my 'end of fall' goals was to complete 50 in a row.  I did the test and got 25, so I'll be starting at week 1.  I am a bit intimidated by the number of sets.  I usually do 1 or 2 sets quick before bed.  I am looking forward to this challenge!  Now to see if I remember to do the sets 3x a week...where did I put my Blackberry...

Isn't it amazing what the body can do?  And how quickly?  Keep it up.
I'm still working on getting inspired.

Say this post in the challenge section and felt inspired by everyone. Started with max test on Sat at 35. Looks like I have to jump over to week 3. Will be balancing sore shoulder issues with this challenge--so it will be interesting! Good to have something new to build towards in my marathon taper madness period.

I will be on  Tu, Th, and Sat.  Good luck all!
