Beautifully chilly morning today. I know 27F might be a little warm for some of you but at least it will be worth some points if I go for a run. I'm thinking I might do another lunch time run today. Sadly my bike is in need of repairs so that isn't an option.

Bill,

I think you need to have a LONG rest this weekend and let some other people catch up!!!

I am running my marathon on Sunday and it will be 25 degrees warmer there.  I packed my shorts!!!!  Run to the Ranch here  I come!

It may get down to where I can get some points, since I am slow and will be out there for at least 5 1/2 hours I am thinking.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Nichi

Just saw there was a large update to BT.

Does anyone know about:

1 - Calories Burned will be LIVE...FINALLY

Where are the calories burned calculated? I didn't see it on the training log.

went out hiking with the hubby yesterday.  I still gotta calculate those points.  Hoping to get a ride in today for even more points.  But I think it will be awhile before I catch up to Lumber Dad!

Well, I didn't get any points this weekend.  By the time I could ride yesterday, I lost the ambition and I really don't have the greatest light set up - adequate for the bike trails but it seemed like a good excuse.  (would have been pts)
So since I couldn't get out yesterday I got a "free pass" from my dear wife today.  I got my ride in today but there were no points on the table - but I gladly gave them up for the chance to ride in shorts the Sunday before CHRISTmas !!!!  59 degrees when I took off.

Have a great week all.

Decided to run during a good snow fall, several inches into it, this afternoon.  Yeah, that wasn't so smart. I learned not quickly enough to stick to the streets and run in the tire tracks.  I spent the first 15 mins trudging through deep snow on a path.  My darn Garmin kept turning off because I was going so slow - yikes!  That was the hardest 35 minute run ever.   I could barely keep my eyes open with the snow flying into my face, although I will say the few glimpses of untrodden path were very beautiful.

So I have a question for all you cold weather bike riders. Do you have a different bike you ride in the winter? My old mtn bike is toast and I am looking for a replacement. I was thinking about investing in a nice road bike but have been wondering if riding it in the wet, snow and cold weather will kill it. What are your thoughts and experiences?

We've been having a freaking heatwave, but I got some measly points in this morning.  Looks like cooler weather and maybe even some snow in the forecast for the front range.  Man, if I lived in Summit County I'd be getting lots of points for snowshoeing and XC skiing!  Instead we've been enjoying shirtsleeve weather.  And I ain't complaining :-)

Guess it wasn't as much of a heatwave as I thought this weekend -- got some points after all :-)  I must be getting used to the weather.

It's getting a bit frustrating here! I keep hearing on the news of temperatures dropping to -28°C, and parts of London dropping to -14°C. We (also in London) have 1°C . Oh well, at least it's some points on the board.
