For those Houstonites that are interested in another half marathon.  There is an inaugural one down in La Porte on December 5th.  It benefits an organization that one of my old sorority sisters works for.

Well, some good news and bad news to report...

First, the bad...for all the Texas river rats this weekend, Nik & I are not going to have a chance to join in the festivities. Really, really bummed about that because it was going to be our last hurrah before going back to the school routine on Monday.

But, the good news is partly why we can't make it. We have been searching and searching all summer for a replacement for one of our former employees who helped us out videoing Friday night football games. We were stressing like crazy, because it's pretty much impossible for 2 people  to cover 4 games on a given night. Luckily for me today I ran in to a former student of mine who is staying local and going to an area junior college. On a whim I offered her the job and she is so excited to work for us. So we will be spending Saturday training her at a scrimmage... We'll miss the camraderie of the flot trip but hope there's something in the future where we can make it up.

Happy Fri 13th everyone.  Typically a good day for me.  Although so far not so good.  Although I know have clean nice smelling dogs so it's not all bad. 

Who's racing this weekend?  We know Nicole isn't cause that would involve signing up for a race and all....

Happy Friday!!  I'm really excited... all my friends are coming back today so we'll finally have the "family" all in one place again   Tomorrow my sister is moving up here so I'll be helping to move her into her dorm all day.  Then classes start on Wednesday.

Remind me why I got up at 5am to go ride with Justin? I have been stuck on the highway for 1 hour waiting for the folks to put out the Car-B-Q. Hopefully I will get moving at some point. If I don't get the ride started soon I will spontaneously burst into flames about mile 50 at 98F.Hope everyone else is getting training in!

Darn Nicole and her consistency in her training as of late.  Two weeks into our Aug challenge and it's still a draw.

Big day came early for me, I'm in for the half!

Me too! It's funny because I kept having dreams last night that they did the lottery and we got in...so the timing is a bit ironic. I am so excited! Now it's time to get ready.

Happy Monday everyone!  Busy week for me thru Wednesday- huge presentation that could make me a rockstar if I nail it.

Thanks for the reminder to check my mega-millions ticket from Friday!  I normally don't play the lottery.  I normally never play the lottery, though. 

I go to DC a lot (i'll be there in a few weeks for the Nations Tri), have good friends that live there and some family..  the bad is traffic..  in my opinion it's worse than NYC.  The good is they have great food.  I like it, as long as you stay out of the bad areas it's a great place..

First day of Senior year today.... I'm not excited at all!  Where did the first 3 years of my college life go??? I can't possibly be old enough to be heading out into the real world in less than a year.  I wanna stay here at least 5 more years!!
