I also met some extraordinary athletes today and watched both a national and Asian record being broken (in weightlifting). She tried for the world but couldn't quite make it--she's 35kg and lifted 90kg for the Asian record! Kingsley and I paced an arm-amputee in his first 50m free swim race ever (he was the only swimmer for that event in that category)--and holy shyte, he's a new swimmer (just a few months of training) but I was struggling to keep up with him in the first 25! There was also a blind swimmer who's really good--he doesn't know how to ride a bike but is willing to learn LOVE, love love that smile, Yanti! Glad you are getting a change of pace, locale and activity, and how inspiring to help out such a great group of athletes! Enjoy! |

It was definitely dark at 2am when I was still awake, but by 5:30 the sun was up and after feeling sorry for myself, I figured enough was enough and just put on the shoes and headed outside. I'm just glad I brought my phone with me for once! |
