Good LORD that was an epic weekend...

Photos, or it didn't happen.

It involved mud, bacon, and 2goggs. Do you really want pics of that?

I'm trying to avoid that now.  I need to drop weight and that's my downfall.

It sucks having a cold and not getting a single call back from a doctor's office on trying to set up an appointment.... I mean... I have called 5 places. I guess that is my bad for not having a primary care physician that I have kept in contact with... but this is ridiculous.

I did the same thing and it was not a good idea.  I really don't feel good now.

They have a place here called the Waffle Cafe.  Everything is served on a waffle.  You can have a club sandwitch on a waffle, they make a pizza with a waffle as a crust OR you can just have a waffle.

So good.  The wife had a waffle tuna sandwitch, which sounds gross at first, but was amazing.

I was going to save it for the race report, but the results are not posted yet...

BUT, along with all the other cyclists at the hill climb (including some pros), there were the typical nuts...  A couple guys on tri bikes, fixies, track bikes, and even one guy who rode a unicycle.  Yes,  UNICYCLE up the 17.2 miles and 5400 vertical feet.  Scary part is, the unicycle guy kicked my arse....

Don't take it too hard... you had to push a whole bike, he was only pushing half.  He may as well have been pushing a 2-seater with his sister.

Plus the gear ratio is actually EASIER on a unicycle.  It's 1:1.  Even my compact crank with 12-27 was....  let me think....

34/27 = 1:1.26.  But the balance thing would make it brutal.

Ha!  I cheated on my long run yesterday.  I swear my house is in a hole, and I have to run up hill every time I leave (N,S, or W.  East is the only downhill from home).

So I drove 13 miles uphill from my house and ran downhill all the way home...  It was still hard though.

I had a friend who would do that for the tailwind. She would run with the wind behind her for 10 miles and have someone come pick her up.

Cheater cheaters, pumpkin bacon eaters.
