Artemis - 2011-10-21 10:33 AM Planning to run tonight.  Got a maternity support band last night, so I'm eager to try it out and see if that helps with the ligament pain I've been feeling.

Welllllllll....???

Short 3.3 mile run this morning outside of Zion Nat'l Park.  Ran up Kolob Res Road.  Nothing special in terms of scenery... but the change of view is still nice.  I was going to leave before daylight (and may still have to tomorrow) but then I started thinking about the coyotes, and decided it might not be such a good idea.

Oh well... of to go explore the park w/ the boys.

Sounds like fun!! When I run in the dark, I stick to the city roads (I usually run on the dirt roads outside of town) because of coyotes . . . well that and skunks, possums, bobcats, armadillos, and foxes, but mostly coyotes.

skunks are the worst and they are everywhere - I have seen them in the middle of town - just zig-zagging back and forth...

Oh great... just when I had convinced myself that I'd be okay to start before dark tomorrow am for my long run.  THANKS Y'ALL
LOL!!!

Oh well... I think I will take my chances and head out around 7am (I'm hopeful the sun will come up shortly afterwards - says 7:24)
There's no such thing as "city" road out here, so I have no option.  But I do have my headlamp and reflective gear

Funny, I asked a lady today about a good place to run around here and she's given me directions to an undeveloped neighborhood... "You can run for miles and not see a soul.  All the roads are put in but no houses have been built."  Not sure that's where I want to be or not.  :/

18th session completed, 9 more to go.  East team still leading, but the West has really made some strides...the rest of you need to get on it!

Nice 4 miles this morning.  From the pace, I guess it was a tempo run.  That put me at 19 miles for the week.  Looking for 21-22 miles next week...

Finally after 6 days off I went out for a run and it was GREAT.  I am still a bit stuffed up, but  past the bad stuff.  It was a gorgeous day to make my comeback.

I updated the spreadsheet.  KansasMom, you're killing it!  Great job!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi!  Hope everyone's doing well.... I've been beyond busy this week.  We were short-staffed the majority of the week which meant long hours for me but thankfully I got off work early today.  I've got some sort of cold thing going on now... just really congested and have a sore throat.  It's been going around work for a while so I guess it was just my time to get it.  We are picking up our puppy tomorrow morning  I'll post some pictures tomorrow or early next week!

Thanks guys! It was a great run...I was forced (yes FORCED) to walk for almost 2 1/2 miles because nature called a bit over a mile into a 4 mile stretch with NO BATHROOMS so I ran as much as I could but then it was just a matter of making it to the next rest stop dry :-) The course was out in horse country so there were miles and miles of fields and stand alone trees, a guy probably could have pulled it off but I didn't want to risk mooning over 1,000 other people Surprised

anyway...not my best time but 2 hours 17 minutes (according to my watch, official time not in yet) and, other than that one stretch, I had a lot of fun and the race was wonderful!!

Congrats and sorry about nature.  We do have it fairly easy as men but I would not have really paid attention to someone taking care of business of to the side of the road - saw quite a bit of it at the marathon I did

haha remind me to start running races with YOU!

Thanks!  He's such a sweetheart... As soon as he gets tired after playing he runs over and lays at mine or James's feet and whines a little to be picked up so he can cuddle while he sleeps
