Over the last several years, mostly due to the wife reaching out, been reconnecting with my bio father and his wife.  He is very by the book, ex military guy.  Well, the wife, ever trying to please, said she was going to be in the area this weekend and asked if she could swing by for a visit and stay the night.  Well, her plans constantly change and she ended NOT going down there.  She got a call from them in the morning confirming and the wife said it wasn't going to happen and said sorry and plans change.  Thought everything was cool.

Well, the wife gets a text from dad saying it's ok that she is not coming, but next time, provide more notice because they had made plans.  I GET that.  It's the courteous thing to do.  But the wife never confirmed the plans, just said they were tentative.

I feel bad.  I'm sure they went out of there way making some kind of plans and the wife SHOULD have confirmed or called earlier.  It's a pet peeve of mine as well, but I'm used the wife's crazy and uncertain schedule.  She was in the wrong.  This kind of stuff happens to us ALL THE TIME.  People come to Vegas and want to hang out, but end up doing other things or being too hung over to meet up, etc.

BUT, I'm not overly cool about the dad texting and basically scolding her for her manners.  I mean, is that cool?  She DID talk to his wife earlier that day.  Do I say anything or since it's between them and my wife, let her handle it?  She responded with another text saying sorry.

I ALSO said he is not the kind of guy you do that to though.  If you make plans,  you stick to it.  You don't be late and you stick to your word.  That being said, I told the wife NEVER tentatively set anything up with them.  She has to be certain.  But to ME, this is something you grump about with your wife about being "stood up".  If it happens again, then say something.  I'm not going to dress down someone for ONE changed event.  I'm not sure WHO to be upset about.

BUT, I won't do anything.  It's really not my battle.

It's a bit of a tough spot for you, but I don't think anything would be gained by stepping in.  For me, personally... I would let it go.

Ha!  Thanks for trying to be healthy - now have some sugar, but be sure to brush after.  Nice!

Just let it go, man. Nothing you can do and calling your bio-dad won't solve anything. Just tell T in the future not to make plans with them.

You shocked me with that response, 2Goggs.  I thought you would throw out that his ol' man was an azz and that Kido should do a throwdown or something.

Nonsense! I'm a peaceful man.

He's still not in his right mind after the Cowboys game. Had this scenario been posed on Thursday....totally different answer from him.

The game must've really took it out of him.

FINALLY got scheduled in with my Dr., but appointment is not until Tues. 12/31.  SHEESH!

She's been my doc since I've started with the state (20 years) and am frustrated with how long it takes to get an appt.  Perhaps time to change to a different Dr.?

Happy 11-12-13. I don't get the point of these wacky store openings. Are a limited amount of goods priced down for a few hours only and people line up to fight over them to be able to save a few dollars ? Is it really worth it ? (the buying aspect not the spectator aspect)

Not at all....shots are fine. In fact, it's safer to drink while operating the machine, than it is to leave, then drink, then come back to operate the machine. Drinking while operating will allow your body/mind to adjust. If you drink then operate the machine cold, you're setting yourself up for disaster.

Trust me....I'm in HR for a manufacturing company......this is legit.
