HEY!  Wake up peeps...check those calendars, who has a late season race they want to talk about????

For those of us who have officially entered off-season, how's it going? what're you doing to keep yourselves busy?

Nothing happening here....dusted off the mountain bike and plan on doing some riding and trail running this weekend. Off season....maybe a 10k and 5k before the end of the year, going to start P90x in the next couple weeks. Oh I dread the winter months inside....ok I am getting ahead of myself.

Good luck to all the racers.....if it is your last of the season you have nothing to to hold it back for....so go for it !!!

Hey Gang, I have been gone a while, out of the country for the month of August in Korea then Stuck in San Fran for a week due to flight cancellations from Irene. I am officially in my off season after having completed the NYC tri(Sorry no race report besides I finished). I am also starting another round of P90X as I feel my strength has dropped significantly and thats something I want to regain. Ii also pre-ordered P90X2 which looks crazy so that will be my January to April plan. I am taking more swim classes and doing light Tri training until I start Training for Augusta 70.3 in April.

Other than that just wanted to say thanks to everyone in the MG for all the valuable information on wonderful support, I will def be around more and would like to remain a member of the MG

Here is the wall climb in Savageman last Sunday, my friend Dave is at 1:20 in the video riding up the left side of the hill then veers to the right and crashes. Many many falls happen just in a few minutes!

No races for me.  I will probably have a slow weekend - maybe get out for a run on Sat and a ride on Sun - nice and easy.  My next race will be a HM at the end of Oct.

Sounds like a Florida next year is going to be a big event.

Thanks for sharing that wall video Linda.  That's one nasty climb to put at the end of the 90km,

Thanks for the B-day wishes.  Although as most of us know, when you are this old, birthdays don't count anymore!!

Oh, and aging up to a New AG for me for next year, so I will have to wait 4 more years to get my revenge on Tony for Knoxville!

No racing for me this weekend.  Just lots of packing. We're heading to Disney World next week for the kids first trip.  I'll be running in the Food and Wine 1/2 mary while there.  This 'incredible' mom is almost done with her costume.  Should be quite an experience.

Happy Birthday Dino!

Good luck racers.  Roni- I cannot believe you're running another marathon again already.

Kim- ha!  I almost got a similar tat when I was is college.  I ended up going with something a little more playful although as a mom I now wish I had chickened out.  :sigh:

Speaking of cows out on the IMMoo course, how bad is the air out there?  In high school we had this 2 mile run time trial we did every spring and fall.  1 mi in there was one killer hill and at the top was a farm which always stank.  The joke was to never think of "strawberry mayonaise milshakes" while there bc the thought would surely turn your tummy to cause you to hurl.  Now I can't pass a cow farm and not think of that.  yuck.

Suzy may disagree, but I only noticed two little stretches of maybe a mile or even less where the cows made their presence known...2 x 2 loops equals only 4x when we were cycling.  However, when she took me on the pre-ride we rolled our windows up more than a few times!!!  What's up with that???

You are going to love it!!!  I am smiling while I am typing this!  Pic of tattoo or it didn't happen, and pics of Mrs. Incredible!  Loved that movie.  btw, will have to hit you up for tips on WDW!  Have fun!

SO far behind on the MG today and won't have email until mid day tomorrow so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DINEEN!  I HOPE THE GIRLS GIVE YOU A SPECIAL NIGHT!

Cows?  Lots and lots of cows on the course.  Kimster was too busy zooming to notice them OR me on the side of the road for that matter!

Did I see more people considering MOO in '13!  I think that's a dandy idea.

Off to get Cooper from day care and then watch him like a hawk in the new house while we continue to unpack and organize.  He gave us his inaugural poop in the basement last night.  Needless to say the man wanted to send him packing.

That's just a crazy steep hill.  Especially at the end of a ride.  Props to them!!

Savageman is a FANTASTIC RACE!!!  I've done the olympic distance 2x and rode the half course for training this summer.  The wall kicked my butt but that is only the start of the climbing.  That race deserves its own tatoo.   To be honest that half course scares me more than Canada did.  I believe it is voted the toughest course out there.  I highly recommend it.
