Every time I think that maybe, just maybe I'll sign up for an IM, I start training for a HIM and immediately stop thinking about it.

NOPE!!

The big plan at the moment is IM Louisville next year and then IM Whistler for 2015... we'll see if that's still the plan after B2B though.

That sounds like a fun plan!  I'm leaning Vineman next year but we'll see. :-)

Actually, the weekday training is pretty much the same.

I think I got a buyer's high after finally getting a new pair... and now I want another new pair because it was so much fun getting these ones!  Besides, isn't it a good thing to alternate running shoes?  Or at least have a back-up pair?

See... it SOUNDS like a fun plan right now, but it might not sound so fun in a couple of months!

I keep several shoes for both reasons and for situations. I'll make sure to keep a big difference in the miles between them though. That way as one pair wears down I'll feel it more easily instead of getting used to it and letting it go too far.

Yes, it is. The difference tends to be more how far the longest stuff goes.

I thought about this one, but don't think so with that course. Bike route doesn't seem to use that it's in Colorado that much and it's likely to be blazing hot. If I try again it would have to really bring the sense of adventure.

I'm REALLY surprised it hasn't sold out yet.  If it lasts a few more days I might cave.

Wonder how much of that has to do with the possibility of an Asheville/Chattanooga event still floating around?

Man, I'm really considering it. I would really like to get through IM Texas in May first but I'm afraid Boulder will be sold out by then.

Jonathan, I'd be surprised if Boulder 140.6 is open at the end of the week.

Ben, I know that I am waiting to hear about a possible SE 140.6.  That would likely be on my list ;-)

Do you like a rather full schedule of training that much of the year? Boulder isn't right after Texas, but it's also not really far enough out to be much of a break either.

Why thank you kind sir.  I actually wore the jeans that caused the depressing moment I still bought them.  Everyone said how good they looked and let me tell you - I think they might be too big!

Bike riding - it's all zone 2 training on the trainer right now.  I got no Piglet Andrew he's in Salt Lake City and then he's training for Spartan so he's not really free.

However it's four weeks til my first race - OD yikes!  It's at a power station it's our winter tri - the lake is like radioactive warm!  A slightly hilly ride.  So I need to get out on my bike - lost my bravado a bit but a few laps of the park will fix me up I'm sure.

HIM is only 8 weeks away and that is scaring the crap out of me.

That's a good idea - and something that I hadn't considered in terms of making sure that you've always got a pair that's 'newer' than the other.  Even MORE reason for me to have more shoes!

Asheville seemed to be the most popular idea, but might be too hilly (heard ~8,000 ft was the best they could do in limiting). Chattanooga has been picking up momentum from that. Others thrown in were Raleigh & Myrtle Beach, but not sure on probability.

I have a few pairs in rotation, as well as trail shoes and race shoes. Currently 4 pair. I keep looking for the perfect pair and I haven't found them yet. So I keep looking.

do you buy the same model each time or do you change it around a bit?

I got some new ones a few weeks ago and thought that I would buy a second pair once they had a couple hundred k's on them so that I could do the staggered wear out thing. At first I thought I would get the same ones cause they felt mega comfortable but the last couple of times I have run I have ended up with a pain in the arch of my right foot.

(I should also say that because of my pathetic running it takes me a good few months to do a couple of hundred k's)

Miss Yanti - you are having a lot of fun - well deserved my dear well deserved!

I just signed up for an Oly - 18th August.  Its our winter triathlon - the swim takes place in a lake by a power station so is unnaturally warm - and glowing!  lol.  Looking forward to it.  First tri since June 2012.

I feel unusually calm about it today!

Did a 4.30am trainer ride today - I couldn't face starting my day with BrB so Arrested Development - first time I've seen it.  Yep I like it.

Has anyone been watching Orange is the New Black - i fancy that too.
