I got out for a run. I keep wondering when it's going to feel good again.

All of the above. Except in my case, there is no "again." But I hear there's a first time for everything.

I actually LIKE running wogging. But my PF doesn't.

Actually, my PF doesn't like *anything.*

Stoopid PF....

Took my 5 y/o to the doc today and had household chores to be done.  Now, the outdoors is full of dense fog and there is a freezing fog advisory.  I live in the middle of nowhere, so I am thinking of going out.  I could always just run up and down my road (its a dead end road and we are the only house on it.)  It's about a .38 or so.  Hmmm...decisions decisions.  Maybe some PT first to loosen up and then go.  Will get boring running the same stretch 5 or ten times, but oh well.

Freezing fog sucks...  Just lays a thin sheet of ice on everything...

I agree - it does sound strange. We've had freezing rain. We've had fog. But freezing fog? It sounds cold and icky.

Key West. Now we're talking about MY kind of weather.

Whattsamatter? You didn't like my double knots method? LOL

Yeah ok. It's not something you'd do for a race. But it's OK for my little wogs around the neighborhood.

I haven't tried Yankz before but I used to have something similar but didn't care for them.  However, I dislike my shoes coming untied 3 times even more!  These shoes have been the dumbest running shoes I've ever had.  I don't know what Asics did to my Nimbus between models 10 and the new 11s but I HATE them.

January Challenge Weekly Update

Here are the current team standings. And wow, it's really close!

1st place - Wind Chill Warriors - 43.8% 2nd place - The Epiphanies - 43.6% 3rd place - Tased and Confused - 41.0%

With the teams this close, ANY TEAM can win it! So get off that couch and go bike, swim, run or whatever!

-Dee

Got my first workout in a week in this morning.  40 minute trainer ride.  I will adjust my training goals.  Since I lost a week, I'll just knock my goals down 25%.  We'll still win this thing!!!  Happy Tuesday all!

I'm working on my goals - I guess I forgot to schedule time to study for this week's nursing school quiz and 8 chapter test! I hope my grades will look as good as the rest of me at the end of January!!! But am planning to bike to school tomorrow (20miles) Smile That is my new "Wednesday" thing - I rode in last week - have to beat last week's time of 1h35m. Road 36 on Saturdy and 20 yesterday - legs are feeling it!

Got in a couple of beers last night toward my goal   Run at lunch and bike tonight -  I have a 20min critical power test lined up...  I will probably try to add a brick run of about 1-1.5 miles afterwards...

Today I did my first run workout since the back blowout of 2010.  Did not go as well as I had hoped.  I got on the treadmill, a little nervous, but figured I'd run easy for 30 minutes and get 3 + miles in.  10-12 minutes in my back started feeling weird, and yeah, I was all jiggily.  Too much flab flapping around.  Shortly after that, my right hip flexor started talking to me and talked me into stopping my "run" at 15 minutes.  I walked another 2, then went back to running so I could get 2 miles in before 20:00 transpired.  I walked a .25 mile or so cooldown with the last .1 set at 10.5 incline (why not?)  Followed that up with 2 miles on the bike.  Through it all, had Pandora going on my DROID.  What song did I end with?  Well, of course, Led Zeppelin, The Song Remains the Same.  (Live, 1973)  Thought I'd bike as long as the song went.  I apparently pedal faster than that.  It is a LONG song.  (For those that don't know, has the line "dazed and confused")

happy days folks, today has to get better.

I ran 3.8 miles today.  It was pretty tough.  My lungs are still congested and that is making the running tough.

Wow, good for you. It is always great to ride to somewhere when you can.  Do you have time to get home before it gets too dark?  That is a major problem here.

Good luck on your exams too!!

Hey team! I got a swim in this afternoon and hope to do some PT stuff while I watch Biggest Loser tonight.  I am on track for my running goals but I don't have much wiggle room left.  I need to stick with the plan.  Thinking I may try some glucosamine and see if it helps my knees.  Any one else tried it before?  Any improvement?
