Right now the house is ok - but the fire is just south of the house and the win is supposed to blow it north. So we are kind of in a waiting period until this afternoon to see how bad it's going to be.

Wow... welcome back eh. A couple of my friends are in the same position. We'll see today.

Praying for you all. Guess my pastor and his wife had to evacuate their home yesterday.
It was smokey up here in Lakewood/Denver this afternoon - not sure from which fire

Definitely Black Forest. Moved straight North. Royal gorge is smalled and more contained now.

Minor things first. If anyone is having trouble logging in, try going to this link first
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0An7ZkKfHG1L1dHQyaHBDeFJ...

Then try to go to 1000 mile challenge. I was in the same weird limbo. But I think if you hit the first link it will acknowledge you and then keep you logged in for when you pull the 1000 mile. If it doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. It worked for me but I'm in that June challenge.

And next, praying for all of you with the wild fires. Let us know how you are when you can.

Super happy and unexpected news - we've been let back into our house! We thought we would be out for most od the week as the fire is stillgoing right across the street. Even better - we have to replace the contents of the fridge and some plants but other than that the house is completely untouched. No smoke damage - no fire. We are praising God and thanking firefighters!

Soo happy to hear. My friend went home today and his property is good too. Fire was right across the street. Tough not to focus on the loss... but the reality is many more homes were saved than were lost. I understand that statement means nothing to the ones that lost their home.

What part of the forest does he live in? There's not to many places that got to go home today.

Congrats! - I know it hasn't been fun getting back into it but you will get there!

How is everyone else doing? It's been a quiet week around here? Is the bunny still in sight?

The bunny is about 150ish miles ahead of me. I didn't get to run much at all in May. June, however, has been an 82.48 mile month, so far. My goal is 100 miles for June. I essentially have 20 miles and 4 days to do it.

Yeah, due to injury at the beginning of the year, I'm not holding out a lot of hope of making 1000, but I'll just keep on running and see where it gets me!!  Hope everyone is doing well!

Half way through the year and I'm at 429.3. Need to kick it up a notch and start gaining a little ground over the summer. How is everyone else doing?

I'm with you on this. I'm not holding out a lot of hope on making 1000 but I want to stay with this group to see where everyone lands.

The Bunny is going to pass 500 miles tomorrow (july 2) how about you?

Me, well I am behind him. Only 1 time in my life did I hit 500 by the end of June. Then I fell off in the second half of the year. If I repeat what I did in the first 6 months of 2013, I would have a new yearly high by about 2 miles.

Here is to a great second half

I'm still hanging in there. Thanks to whoever updated my June mileage for me. I appreciate that.

I'm a little behind, but I expected that. I have two more triathlons, and then at the end of August, I will return to a running focus. I hope to make up some miles then. I may not make it to 1000, but I hope to get really close. It's a great goal to work toward.

I can get back into the spreadsheet; I think Dee reset it for us. The link is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0An7ZkKfHG1L1dGZnamsyaVV...

Yesterday on my run, I saw a cute little bunny rabbit hopping away from me. I told the rabbit that I would hurt him…..but I’m gonna take him down. Today I’m about 42 miles behind that pace rabbit. My goal is 25 mpw so that mean I should catch that rabbit by the end of August. Let the chase begin.

It's so quiet here! I know many people are in the TdF challenge but report in and let us know how you are doing.

Today, finally, reached 500 miles for the year. I'm now 36 miles behind the bunny. Hoping to gain a few more miles on the bunny over the next few weeks.
