Down 7.6! I was stuck for over a week..finally moving a little..but I'll take it.

I didn't sleep well last night and finally got up and came down to sleep on the couch as I feel I'm coming down with a cold.  I really really wanted to eat something sweet like chocolate or caramel or ice cream. I felt like screw this stupid challenge, I want something yummy.I thought I'll eat whatever I want and drop out of this challenge...it was amazing how my mind could justify and come up with a plan to deal with my craving and trying to talk myself into it. One thought I had is I didn't want to have to post I got a ding.

The desire to eat something was so incredibly intense..I had a couple cashews and hoped it would go away and it did. A real major victory.

It was incredible how strong the desire for something sweet was and how within 10 minutes it was gone.  It was a good lesson to learn.

I bought a box of Tangerines and they are better than the Clementines I have been getting lately.

Congratulations and Great Job to Ray and Abbie!

Abbie, if you don't mind, how tall are you? With your weight and BF%, you look great...I am about the same weight, don't know my BF%, am just 5'1" tall, and, let's just say my weight is distributed a lot different than yours!!! I am SURE that my BF is terribly high; I've just recently started working out faithfully...again. I'm with you on wanting that sub-20%...I love that rather ripped look (although I've never seen it on myself!)

Thank you!  I am 5'3".  In addition to cardio I am making sure I'm doing strength training, even if it's just using my own body weight like lunges, squats, push-ups, etc.  I want to be ripped!!!!

Great job at resisting!!  Raisins are my new favorite food!  I made my own snakc packs with organic raisins with almonds.  Last night I went to the movies and made sure ot bring a boz of raisins with me to avoid sugar temptations!

I'm doing "body weight" exercises for strength training (then just walking and biking)...My word, if you're just 5'3", you must have great muscle tone; I HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO!!!

You're doing IMKY? In Loiusville, right? I live a couple hours south of Louisville and hope that I can go up and be a spectator!

Great job on the willpower Kathy!

Yesterday afternoon as I was leaving Walmart some students were selling candybars. Well I am a sucker and there is no way that I couldn't contribute so I told the girl that I would make a donation and sell my candybar to someone else. She said "no, please take it. The quicker I get rid of these, the quicker I can leave." Well I took it in hopes of giving it to someone in the parking lot. NO LUCK - and it is chocolate with almonds. I am happy to report that I have not opened it nor do I have any intentions of eating it at this point. I am saving it for my SO who is out of town this weekend.

BUT this morning I accumulated another ding! and it wasn't even the chocolate bar. It was vanilla yogurt for breakfast which is sweetened with aspartame. It was one of those mindless dings at the time.

Oh my word, how exciting!!! I look forward to meeting you too! How do all the BTers find each other? BT wear? What does a race volunteer do? Sorry to keep bugging you with questions, but you do seem to have a lot of answers! How long have you been at this? Always been active? There I go again...sorry!

I've been good for two days straight now after I, errr, well, some charity dropped off a giant display of every candy and cookie you can imagine.  After two weeks of walking past it every day, I caved.  Hey ...it was for charity

But seriously, looks like I'm winning!  I have the most dings.  Remember, most dings wins

Two days strong!!  Everyone else, I'm in awe of you!

I can relate to this exactly. After my trail race today I was craving, seriously craving, something sweet, in addition to being hungry. I stopped at a Subway and right next door was a frozen yogurt place. I can assure you that prior to December 21 I would have probably skipped the Veggie Delite sandwich and gotten something sweet, cold and gigantic. After all, I just burned 1230 calories - I deserved this, right?

I didn't get it because I didn't want to post a ding, had my sandwich, and almost immediately the craving was gone. Quite a lesson to learn, assuming that I have really learned it.

I love weighing myself. I was 145.8 this am, after breakfast, and a cheeseburger for lunch (ok, ok, oops), and I had ran 20 min, chased a lost dog for an HOUR, rode my horse for 25 min, and did an intense 1:42 min spin class, I'm at 146.8.

Must be that cheeseburger.   oh well. I seem to have one good day then one bad day.

Incidentally, I had greek yogurt yesterday, which was yummy and creamy, but it was 12 grams of fat!  I just on't know if thats smart?

I sure wish Western Michigan would get with it and get one of these stores around here. The nearest ones are in Detroit area (2.5 hours away) and Chicago area (3 hrs away)

We have about 40 grocery stores but no real health food stores Frown
