I haven't weighed myself since the beginning because that number always bugs me and then I get obsessive. Will do some measurements tonight though and post!

Less than a month till MEXICO!!! Need to get my pants fitting better too! Been doing better with my eating for the past few days. I will confess I had an entire small pizza and beer to myself post race on Sat. and some chocolates.....I will be focused!

I have been Yoyoing and am still at square one in terms of weight loss . The good thing is i have not gained ,(yikes !) i have made some healthy choices like cut back a lot on eating out which used to be every lunchtime , now just 1-2 times a week . I have also cut back on drinking coke, so i only have it maybe once a week . Saves $ too .
I am getting enough sleep thanks to an easier commute and steady 40 hrs week schedule.
Anyways just wanted to check in . I dont seem to have a feel for the challenge group. Maybe we need to grab the data once a week off everyones logs
and post it here . Just a thought

Happiness is getting into slacks that I haven't been able to wear in over a year.  5 lbs more would fit more comfortably, but I have them on and they don't look disgusting.

Woo hoo!  Good news!  Wish I had some to share

I had a brutal post-race week which consisted of eating out almost every meal, lots of wine and beer with dinner and ZIP exercise.  At first I tried to cut back but I just felt ravenous all the time but clearly now my metabolism has adjusted, slowed down and this morning I weighed 141.4 eek!  Hoping it's just that Monday swell from a weekend of workouts.  Or salt intake.  Today I'm back on track... although it will be a challenge with a team lunch at the local pub and dinner out with friends.  Hope everyone else is on track and doing well!!!

This is BEYOND totally awesome!!!  You deserve it; you've worked hard.

On the other hand, I'm back (again) to where I started.  Even a 20 mile run couldn't undo the damage, apparently.  I really need to make a concerted effort to rein in my eating and drop a few pounds before I have to haul it 26.2 miles in about 3 weeks.

Finally got some decent swimming in this past week.  I think that I have finally found an "easy" pace.  Even did a couple 25m sprints at the end for kicks.  Running has also become pretty easy-ish (depends on the temp outside) and I am looking forward to each running day with anticipation instead of dread.  My diet wasn't great this past week, but I think it took a step or two in the right direction.  Wish that I had been able to get a long bike in this weekend, but the rain didn't let up enough for me to feel comfortable biking on the road with traffic on a wet surface.

Weight is down as is body fat.

Total Weight 195.5 (down 0.5 from last week)

Abdomen caliper reading: 17mm (-1 from last week)

Chest caliper reading: 16mm (no change)

Thigh caliper reading: 16mm (-2 from last week)

%BF=14.68 (down from 15.55% last week)

Things are going in the right direction again and I plan to resume weight training this week so that ought to start adding to lean mass while burning some extra fat.

Good luck to everyone this week.

Cheers. -t

I worked out and ate, forgot to weigh in....grrr.....not like the scale would cooperate with me, just guessing.  Well I took a pic post-workout.  Lighting sucks and its blurry, but I'm still happy!

not part of the challenge but interested in what diets/WO plan people are following regarding altering body comp.  Always looking for tips.

I need to lose about 20 pounds and generally go with low carb, high protein, increased weight lifting.

What do others do?

Not much change here... down a couple pounds and a few inches since the beginning of the challenge, which is much better than the gradual gain I've been doing the last couple years. Heading to Wyoming tomorrow for camping and to run the Jackson Hole Marathon.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Jealous of the WY trip, Roni!

My weight is sloooooooowly coming down after shooting up last week due to stress, sickness and no running.

Question:  I've always tracked nutrition here (when I track it, that is) -- I like the way that, especially now, it integrates with training (as calories burned) and shows net calories.

But - I have a new, whizbang Android phone.  And I know there are apps that allow you to scan barcodes and such to enter food (which seems to me to be an easier way about it).  Any apps that you guys are using that you'd recommend?

(and I should say:  I'm looking for something that has more functionality than just entering foods, like you can here on BT)

Hey guys.

Enjoying reading everyone's posts. Life has been busy. Anyways, found a scale. Drs. office says 193lbs with clothes shoes and keys. So that is down 5 pounds since the start. Kind of surprised since that was after a week of eating just about whatever I wanted and ducking out of workouts. Whatever.

Still good on my no cream or sugar. Also gave up diet pop, so that is good too.

Anyways, just checking in. Will take some pictures hopefully in the next little while.
