Well I probably won't hit 100% for Team World but I'll be fairly close. 22 might have been a lot for my first month really coming back to running. So far I've hit 15/22. I'll prob be close to 19/22 by Monday! I'm on call 2x this weekend on Fri and Sun but hopefully I can convince myself to get it done early incase the hospital gets busy!!!!

Nice speedy (for  me anyway) 4.75miles for me this morning -  I up'ed my goal by two which gives me 3 more runs to do in 4 days - 2 of which are events....

Good job, the 3-2-1 works...I ran in New Orleans this morning...sticky but got it done.

I am lovin' the 3-2-1 plan!  I am running my longest distances ever with no walk breaks and my "fast" day paces are dropping to close to my best times from a couple of years ago when I was training consistently!  My only struggle is running slow enough on recovery days - that is the hardest!

Finally feeling better! I got a 6.5k run in tonight followed by 45 minutes in the weight room. It has been since January since I have had so much time off...it feels GREAT to be back.

GO NORTHEAST!

Whew! I'm almost there. I did 6.25 tonight. I'll take a rest from running tomorrow and bike instead. Saturday morning I have a 5k to run, which will put me at 100%. I'm hoping to run the course (a local trail) two or three times while I'm there.

The run tonight was great. It's a route I do a lot, and for the first time while running, I lost track of where I was. I looked up and saw this building and said, "What the heck is that???" And then I realized that without even being aware of it, I had made a turn -- when I was supposed to -- but I had lost track of time so severely that I was a full 1/2 mile farther than I thought I was. That was kind of a good feeling.

It was cold and clear, so the stars were brilliant. I turned off my running light, and I could see the milky way. Sometimes I love Kansas.

Come on everybody!

In honor of you peeps, I did a 2-mile run last night.  I kept it low key.  I think I'm just about recovered, but won't press it.

Oh, and Halloween is just around the corner!!

Yay!

OK, got to the doc today. It's confirmed. I'm sick (Thank you, Dr. Obvious!). Apparently I'm not feeling so hot because I'm running around with an elevated temp. I'm dumb like that. Got some antibiotics. Hopefully will get my 11 miler done tomorrow.

That's paradoxical, isn't it?

Great area for a hike. We were in Yellowstone this past summer. Wish we could have made it down to the Grand Tetons. Hiking in that area can be harder than doing a run.

24th session done, I think I will get all 27...the mileage isn't too high (110 miles projected) for this many sessions, but I have never run this frequently...

Well I won't be making my goal for team SE.  Got back from a business trip late last night and was all set in getting in the runs I needed today thru Monday.  Instead I go to get into bed at 1:30 AM and somehow slipped.  I  smashed my big toe into the bed rail and snagged the nail, ripped it back so that it was standing straight up.  Yeah ouch!  Can't wear shoes right now and doc said I probably won't be running for about a week. Frown

I did count my pulse last night at one point to be 44 based on the throbs per minute as I laid in bed at 3am with my foot up on a pillow!

Donto:  ouch!  I pulled a similar move once, but just a little off the side and sliced the area between my toes.   That was a sucky trip to the ER for stitches.  Darn bed frames are dangerous!
