![]() | ![]() Elaine just saw where you are headed - not very far from me! Well, compared to where you are now How long will you be there and will you have time to do races (I have no idea what a "class" involves!)? Would be fun to meet up for one! |

I hope you get it as we need all the taxpayers we can find these days. Thanks all for the kind thoughts and crossed fingers. I've been working hard to get back to work. Despite what you hear about an improved economy, it's tough to get a good job lately. YOU da man! |

Keep in mind for the purpose of this story that besides cheese and chocolate Switzerland is known for precision like efficiency. He's telling me the story of how his daughter was born 2 months ago. They're in the hospital, his wife is in the birthing room, and he's just kind of in and out of the room and wandering around the hospital. No idea why but he wanders a bit too far a bit too close to the moment. The nurse runs out of the room to look for him and comes back with the wrong guy who happened to also be hanging out waiting for his wife to give birth. My friends wife is about 2 minutes away from birthing, in all kinds of stress, looks up and sees a stranger looking between her legs and FREAKS. The guy in the confusion and all the shrieking says hey you're not my wife. The doctor gets super pissed at the nurse and starts yelling at her to get this guy out of the room. Meanwhile my friend happens to be wandering back hears all this commotion and hurries back into the room. His wife in between her screams is blasting him for not being in the room with her. And about 1 miniute later a healthy baby girl enters the world. While he's telling me all this I was struggling to hold back tears from laughing so hard. He however was really pissed off as his wife is still traumatized by the whole thing and blames him for the whole fiasco. My advice was like dude good luck..... Thats it. Funny story to start the day. Happy Thursday all. Was all the commotional (made up word) conversation in English or Swiss? |

Regular ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Thursdays- Just get me through this. Birth room conversation was in Swiss German. Aside from the commotion being funny enough (which he didn't think was funny), was that he's one of those innocent kind of guys that goes through life in a semi oblivious way that frequently gets caught up in situations that tend to unravel through no fault of his own. AND that is wife is still pissed off at him 2 months later. |

I feel that this type of person could alleviate a lot of issues if they would put even a small effort into paying more attention. I hope that doesn't sound bad - but I know for me I've had to purposefully focus on what's important to others at times so I don't come off as "oblivious" thus not caring. Tough spot. |

I know that it sounds tough, but unless he had to go to the bathroom, then he should've stayed. I made sure that I stayed in the delivery room for all three of my sons (2 were taken C-section, but my last son was an emergency due to complications). If I would've left for any of those deliveries, I would have not forgiven myself, knowing how important it was for me to be there and for my wife! I know that it sounds funny (I would've been laughing, too, if I was hearing about it), but, he effed up wandering around. I don't blame her for being pizzed still. He'll have to take it and continue living with that little mistake. |

Well, compared to where you are now How long will you be there and will you have time to do races (I have no idea what a "class" involves!)? Would be fun to meet up for one! June 23 - Nov 13. I should be able to race weekends. We're limited to a 250 mile radius without special permission. I was hoping to get there in time for the Kansas 70.3, but no such luck! ETA, here's my map!:

I got upsold at McD's....the second McRib was only $1. I ate both. It was good. I'm bulking now....don't judge me. I'm going to put a McRib in my special needs bag during Redman.....just to show Ford that I can beat him while snacking on meat byproducts |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() My B2B finisher plaque just arrived! Results and all that engraved into a piece of original teak deck planking from the USS North Carolina. When I ordered it, I knew the wood came from the ship, but I didn't realize that it was the ORIGINAL decking.
My finisher plaque served in WW2!! |
