"There once was a girl in Seattle

While running she was rarely frazzled

On a train ride a perv

got on her one last nerve..."

I'm sorry, but these are the things that run through my empty noggin while I am trying to push through intervals. I hope everyone has a great day and continues to smile in the face of whatever challenge you may have.

Oooooooh booooy! Waita leave us hangin'! HOW DOES IT END?!?!

I swung by the bike shop on my way home yesterday so they could help me figure out what was up with my rear derailleur. The mechanic was so freekin' cool. He took the time to look at my bike, determined what I did wrong when I installed the derailer (I was super close to getting it correct but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades,) and then he showed me how to fix it, let me do it and then gave the rest of my bike a once over. For free. I immediately went and bought them some beer and dropped it off at the shop. I love being treated like a human being.

I actually had about 3 different middle portions, some of which were not to be shared with people that I like. The final line ends with something about his eggs being scrambled or some such nonsense.

Although I do like Darren's response as well.

Wow... I need to get caught up!!  First - happy back of a camel day!

Kate - more healing vibes being sent to your mom

Jo - I'm glad to hear that your dad is A-OK

Erin - that was WAY too creepy for a changing room.  Ick.

Salty - VERY cool about the bike shop guy, it's nice to know that there are still some places that really want to help people, and right on for bringing them beer after!

... also, holy dayum about the World Track and Field!

Yes we should... how can you say no to the perfection that is meat in tube form?

And fries cooked in duck fat?  I may or may not be drooling at work right now.

Yay, I just signed up for a HM in October. Seeing as I am taking 2 weeks off, I won't have much time to prepare. So it'll just be a baseline "B" race or something. Plus XC will have started.

*BTW my teammates are running the 10K championship this weekend and the HM championship on Labor Day. I am envious.

Very cool mechanic.  Good call on the beer

Well, nose bleeds can be something as simple as he bopped his nose, or a simple infection, but they can be more serious.  I noticed that he was 'restless' the night before.  Any other changes?  Eating/drinking ok?  Urine and stools normal?  Normal colour?  (Sorry everyone!)  If all else is normal, then unless it happens again, don't worry. Laughing
