charles-goff - 2011-10-31 7:14 AM I was out this morning for a short run, all I have to do to hit goal is get another one in this afternoon. Shouldn't be a problem, I have a riude scheduled, I'll just turn it into an afternoon brick and be good.

Nice strategizing - wish I had done that earlier in the month when I wasn't sick or sore from racing (which was like one week).

Okay, enough complaining.  You all did so great!  I am really impressed by the number of 100% and those exceeding their goals.  I did inspire one of my teammates, but haven't heard anything.  Bummer, hope she's okay.   I guess it wasn't Midwest's month.

I am sure to fall a little short of my goal.  I will try to get a run in tonight after taking the kids out trick or treating.

Just got my last run in...27 sessions...this is the most frequent I have ever run in one month!    Topped it off with a 5.4 miler at lunch with perfect weather - 45 degrees and sun, with the snow melting.

Got in my brick and hit goal for the month, would have been easier if I hadn't had to deal with two different funerals at the beginning of the month. Good job to everyone for a great month.

Tomarrow starts the Crappy Winter Weather, so I'm not getting any time off from the challenges. That and I have started training for the spring. Going with a long, 28 week, program this year. Last year I took a month off training and wasn't as ready as I wanted to be in the spring.

Whew...got in 4.3k this evening, it was uncomfortable and I stopped when it became painful and kept a very easy jog but I think my bum is on the road to recovery :-)

logged over 125 miles this month...for me that is a personal best and it felt great. Thanks to this wonderful challenge for pushing me!

And great job to everyone who participated!!!

Way short on my goal. Still sick. Haven't been able to do anything for a week and 1 day. This is going to kill my goal of PRing my 1/2 on the 13th. Sorry, team. I failed hard this time. Cry

Tomarrow starts the Crappy Winter Weather,

Not for all, Spring has sprung in this neck of the woods and with weather predicted to hit the 30s (celcius), the bay is looking good for the first open water swim of the season.

You N Amercian teams might have trounced the world team, but some of us have the better weather coming in.  So in the words of Charlie Sheen - Winner!!! Tongue out

Seriously though, well done to everyone that hit their goals and all of the PBs that seemed to happen this month.  I don't think I've partaking in a challenge before with so many

well congrats to that total also Nails!  Very impressive also!

Thank You! Sadly I seem to have injured my Piriformis :-( I pushed a bit to far this month, not sure how far over 10% more I went but for sure a bit.

So when they say don't increase more than 10% distance per month THEY MEAN IT :-) hopefully with some stretches, gluteus medius and hip abductor strength training and a bit of cross training I'll be back up to a 125 month again soon!!

Well it was pretty close but I think Northeast won by .21%

Northeast - 92.67%

Southeast - 67.11%

Midwest - 83.46%

West - 92.49%

World - 44.89%

All I know there are a lot of 100% and most of those had to increase their original goal as well to stay equal to 100%.  Things could have been different if 105% was allowed but I am mean like that sometimes!

Great job everyone - thanks for running along side Emily and I and keeping us company!

I saw someone continued this in November if you are looking.  We also have a crappy winter weather challenge.  I saw a trainer challenge and that is just pure evil so enjoy.

Have a great November and run until Thanksgiving so we can all feast together - well that is everyone but the world who might not celebrate it with us!

Sorry Southeast. I was one run short of my goal. Spent most of the month alternating between sickness and injury.

And since I am in the southeast, I am happy to report that I won't be joining the crappy winter weather challenge.
