Ohhh. What should my fake name be?

Anyone know where to get a fake ID?  I don't have a clue where to even start looking for something like that.

I'm truly going mental today at the office.  I can't get my head into work AT ALL - and probably some residual effects of DST...  I may go home at three and get some personal things done.

It's been 75 here for 2 days.....I took 2 vacation days just to get ahead of yard cleanup.....best vacation I've had in awhile.  Just me and the dog and a rake. Life's pretty damn good!

I ran in Piedmont Park.  Best thing I saw was a fashionably dressed (slacks but still fashionable) woman on a really loud Harley.  I was tortoise to everybody else's hare today.  I got passed a lot  and passed no one.  It was an hour so that was good.  

Pears and daffodils are in full bloom.  But we are supposed to get a freeze tomorrow night, down to the high 20's.  It is rough being a tree this time of year.

I told the wife I need a vacation just to do that kind of stuff.  Not a vacation that rushes to and from to and airport, cabs, hotels...  All that is fun, but not productive.  I just want some PRODUCTIVITY on a vacation once in a while!  Even if it's working on my golf swing or an extra long run...

I love days like that - when they don't get overtaken by other people's projects for you, anyway.

When somebody says something really jerky, have you ever looked at their race reports and gotten their time, then gone to the race results for the race and looked up the time to get his/her real name, then googled the name? Nah.  Me neither.

My insurance rates rise every single year. No claims on house or car. When I emailed my agent about 18 months ago to ask, she pasted her generic answer "there are many reasons rates can change, including claim activity, discounts expiring, general cost increases." So I asked what was the specific reason MY rates changed and her answer was "it was a rate change affecting both your home and auto policy." 

Then 6 months later my auto rates increased AGAIN so I emailed her asking what was up and that my auto rate had increased 21% in the past 8 months (no claims, no tickets, nada) and if this would continue. Her response:

I took a look at your policy.   I understand how you feel.  Unfortunately, just like milk prices are affected by drought, weather and disease there are certain factors that affect insurance premiums that are out of anyone's control.  Increased occurrence of catastrophic weather has resulted in a rise in total claims paid out for damages, rise in home auto and medical costs for claims, and an increase in insurance fraud have all affected rates across the entire industry.

When I get an email like this, I am always tempted to correct his or her grammar and send it back

I doubt your agent would appreciate my thoughtfulness.

The ACC Basketball Tournament of 2014 tips off in little more than an hour.  According to one prediction, my team, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, has a 0.11% chance of winning.  They are favored by a modest 57 to 43% margin in their first round game against Boston College.  It goes downhill from there.  Duke's odds of winning the championship are given as 40%.  Let's just say the Yellow Jackets are fine young men who can shake hands with anybody, and maybe the team will have better luck next year.
