blueyedbikergirl - 2010-05-24 11:54 AM Mornin' TAN!

Have today off cuz of a stat holiday but was pretty much sidelined all freakin' day yesterday with food poisoning

Tried a short run today which almost killed me, now off to get my tan on (sans tan lines) then finally going to get the oil changed on my bike... maybe I'll try a bike ride later...

Yuck!  You feeling better today?

Second thing I look at on a woman is her feet/shoes.  Says a lot about them.

Do tell!

Artemis - 2010-05-24 10:31 AM I'm wearing my Vibrams to work for the first time today.  So far, no one has said anything.  I'm kind of surprised by that.

Maybe that's an indication of what they think of you?

Ah, I don't know you well enough to joke like that.

Meh...probably pretty accurate.  They know about all the training/marathons/triathlons. Plus, I work with a bunch of scientists and doctors and I'm a PhD student.  We're all a little crazy.

I rarely look at people's feet though.  I think that's a girl thing.

Second thing I look at on a woman is her feet/shoes.  Says a lot about them.

So what does a girl wearing Vibrams say about her?

That she wears funny shoes?

Feeling pretty good.  Got a fair amount of sleep this weekend, so that's good.  I love my REI purchases!  Wore the skirt yesterday, thinking about wearing the sandals tomorrow if it is warmer than today (and not raining).

Crazy as it sounds, I JUST looked up Vibram to see what they look like.  Never knew.

My first impression?  Insta blisters between my toes...  You, know, that toe webbing area...

I'm with you - I'd much rather feel slightly miserable for a week than have to spend that much time with my toilet for a day.  Feeling somewhat human again, will feel much better after I shower... off to do that now.

Actually, not at all.  Then again, I run in toe socks because I was getting blisters between my toes, so they are kind of used to it.

I have the sprints in blue/grey:  http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/products/products_Sprint_f.cfm/>
I've had them for awhile and have been building up the muscles in my feet.  Takes a bit to get used to them.  I really love them.  It's funny.  My husband got a pair last year and I thought they were terrible.  But, I wore his around the house and found out how much I liked them and had to get my own.  I'm considering getting another pair.
