Pro 3730 NorCal | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Seren - 2011-10-27 6:53 AM i'll be in for round 2. These damn last 5lbs. Just when I think Im doing good...they show up again! This time around I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian so my challenge is to get enough protein in and not OD on pasta! Do you use protein powder? I have also been reading about the amazing benefits and protein in Bee pollen. I'm going to pick some up. Edited by AbbieR 2011-10-27 9:56 AM |

Pro 3730 NorCal | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge I need to go back to clean eating again, I re-started yesterday. Being super strict on counting, calories and protein, fats....way too complicated, time consuming and restrictive for me. For Round 2, that is going to be my nutrition goal as well as drinking all of my water. I know for me to be successful I have to be very mindful and focused. For the next round is anyone interested in setting small goals; like a daily exercise and/or nutrition goal? For example, today my nutrition goal is to eat clean and exercise goal is core and cycling. I already can check core off of my list for today, cycling tonight and granted I just finished breakfast, but it was clean |

I'm gonna be really strict with myself - not depriving but like yesterday - if I want a burger - I have to plan my day around it so as not to go over. I kind of have a workout schedule and I REALLY want to stick to the plan. I find if I break it in to chunks of 2-3 days I feel it's easier to meet my goal (vs. leaving all workouts to the weekend and then skipping them). I need to make it more structured though to ensure I can fit in all that I want to do but I want to be moving every day. Day 3 - so far so good but... I've eaten all my snacks and it's only 11:26am... and I'm hungry. It's gonna be a long afternoon! |

There are recipes in the book as well.....although I'm a disaster in the kitchen and have yet to try anything in there. |

I have it too and have to say I have yet to try a recipe I haven't liked though she does use cheese a lot and how 'clean' is cheese when you think of what goes in to processing it. There's a fantastic breakfast smoothie recipe with oatmeal and peanut butter. Here are two more of my favourites if anyone is interested: http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Recipe/Avocado-Egg-Salad.aspx?sms_ss=email&at_xt=4d7582b778469ea9%2C0 Nice fresh tasting alternative to mayo! |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge I'm in for round 2! I fell off the bandwagon in Mexico....its really amazing what you can do to yourself by drinking and eating all day...haha...I'm almost back to where I was pre-Mexico! Neal (disturbed275) and I are currently having a challenge of our own anyways till April 1. Whoever loses the most weight has to buy the other a new pair of runners. Haha. We will see. We started the day after we got home from Mexico....when our pants didn't fit properly anymore! I'm trying to go with the clean eating approach. I'm also slowly getting back into regular training...and being less "I did an IM 2 months ago and am allowed to rebel..." haha. I think Neal and I are going to do the Hollywood Half so I intend on being super fit by then. (Hopefully school behaves)...I've started my rotations that include call so sometimes that interferes...but I'm trying to stay disciplined...... |

Member 44 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge I would love to be in for round two. I agree with the clean eating. I can get obsessive with tracking and it is not as user friendly here on BT. I will also have a "cheat" day to enjoy and plan it around my social schedule as that is where I fall off the wagon and into the wine barrel. |

Member 44 | Subject: RE: Body Composition Challenge Nice clean day yesterday. Not enough water though. My new go to snack is sliced apple dipped in almond butter. Today I need to kick up the water consumption. I ran for 45 min yesterday today is the bike. I bought a new tv for the family room so looking forward to setting it up tonight with my bike, treadmill and weight bench all lined up in a row ready to move! |

Absolutely, I think I was out of this one before it even began. Work and life got crazy and eating went down the crapper |

x2 or 3 or ? I actually gained weight, I think. . another 90 days? I promise to be better about measurements - although with campaign season - I may not be so good about posting, and the training will be rough - but hopefully this can be some motivation. |

The wine and late meals caught up with me and I got off track from that. I think I am still somewhat under my start weight, but not by very much. |

In case I missed it - is there a spreadsheet somewhere?
Is anyone going to do P90X? If I can shake out of bed in time, I will start doing that. It is good for cutting BF. |
