I swim in the early morning before work and would rather not look like I'm an old man wih raccoon eyes at work! Highly personal decision here. The raccoon eyes go away pretty quick so your biggest concern should be fit. I swim with my contacts in so I have zero tolerance for water. Been using Aquasphere Vistas for years - they are big, but fit like a glove, perfect for open water and great peripheral vision. Not cheap, but they last. |

They all fit different and what might feel good to you could be painful to me. I have a speedo pair, but I don't remember the style only they cost $20.00. I mostly swim in open water, so I prefer tinted. I lose mine annually, so I can't tell you anything about durability. As for raccoon eyes, it doesn't last. |

The best ones I had were the Speedos mask type (sort of like for diving, but smaller). No raccoon eyes at all. Currently just use whatever fits and is not too expensive (mainly Zoot) since I lose them/ break the strap etc. |

Master 3022 | Subject: RE: Team Trisuppo - OPEN Does anyone remember the scene from National lampoon's European vacation when they're having breakfast and Rusty is watching an amorous couple at a nearby table? That's how I feel sometimes when swimming later in the evening at the Life Time Fitness near me...sometimes I'm thinking, "get a room!" |

Thanks for the advice on the goggles everyone. The Speedo goggles I'd been using leaked a lot. I switched to an older version of the Aquashere brand a year ago but those are the ones leaving me looking 80 when I show upo to work after swimming in the morning lol. I just bought a pair of new Aquasphere Vistas and they work pretty good. They leak a little around the nose, but nothing I can't live with for before-work swims. They weren't cheap at all (about $40) but well worth the lack of raccoon eyes! THANKS! |

If you want to join in, you can get 1 point per day if you either swim bike or run 30 minutes. Keep total time for the tie breaker. If you don't work out or don't hit 30 minutes in any individual discipline then no point. The winner gets the coveted aluminum foil metal. Good luck beating Gabe, he is a machine . Member 131 Colorado | Subject: RE: Team Trisuppo - OPEN OK, back in for May. Was going to post last night but realized I was too tired to add up times. So, 6.25 miles on the treadmill one night after a day full of elementary school choir and orchestra rehearsals and the evening concert (I'm one of two volunteer accompanists), 6 miles on the treadmill the next night because it took me a very long time to get motivated that evening (oops), and 19 miles today. I *think* taper actually starts this week, with the marathon two weeks out. I'm kinda of beyond ready to taper at this point.
