DougRob - 2011-12-06 9:55 AM Just got a response to an email I sent, It is preliminary but I may have a manufacturer of triathlon clothing as a sponsor! This is very cool!

Cool -hook up your NC friends with some freebees!  JJ, that's awesome. Be sure to let us know who!

First I have to talk with them so more and then I have to learn what their entire line includes. I have learned a lot from the women in the MG as to what you all look for, so that will help.

Has anyone ever joined a beer of the month club?  If so, did you like it?  Which one?  I was thinking of giving this to my husband for a Christmas gift but there are many to choose from.

Tracy - Great pictures! She looks so strong and graceful!

Doug - Congratulations! They'll be lucky to have you as an ambassador.

Jayne - Glad to hear you're feeling good. Just listen to your body and don't try to do more than you need to in the next week and a half.

Rachel - You've come to the right place. I'm certain you'll get some good advice.

First lap video from my race this week.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6aqFkAD3ho

I sat and watched the whole thing.   Was that you wearing the camera?  Pretty cool (but not something I'm going to get myself into).

Yeah Doug posted something about a month or so ago where Amazon was selling them for 85 bucks so I picked one up.  It's mounted underneath my handlebars.  You can see the mud flying up from my tires at one point.

Cool, Tony! I'm going to show this to my son after school. He can't wait to start bicycle racing. Looks like it was a beautiful day out there!

I just brew my own    Have about 8 cases sitting around right now.  Oatmeal Stout, Belgian Black Ale, Kolsch, Blue Moon knock off, and a brown ale.   I may need some help clearing some inventory - anyone want to come over and help?

Oh, I do!! I do!!  I'll take some of that Oatmeal Stout, and the Belgian Black Ale.  That would be so much more fun than trying to get 14 year olds to do work!!  I need Christmas Break to get here NOWWWWW!!

Me too. So do my kids. Thanksgiving was such a tease -- a lovely break in the routine. This is such a hard time of year around here. The short days are killer... just 15 more and then we get to creep slowly back into lightness!!

i did.  but i drank the twelve pack in like an hour do i had to wait another 30 days for more.  it really sucked.  just kidding.  the next day i went to the store and bought more beer.

some clowns got me a subscription from this joint.  i guess they figured 15:29 was worth it.  suckers!  as a gift i'd recommend them.

however, for your hubby who is right there with you...  if you have a really good packy near by then once a month go in there and pick some different beers for him.  i seem to recall frougal mcdougal's had a good selection.  it was down by carowinds, not sure if you're on that side of town.   you don't need to know much about beer.  we'll help and so will the guy in the store.   here's a starter list for you for Christmas. most of these should be readily available.

  • Sierra and Dogfish Head, Life and Limb.  1 Bomber (750ml) This is my new favorite beer and top three all time.  These are two awesome brewery's, very cool they came together for this one.  Might be hard to find.  Dan, this is the one from turkey day. Search here.
  • New Belgium, Snow Day.  6 pack (I say this only because I'm drinking one now! its pretty darn good)
  • Dogfish Head, 120 if you can find it.  if not get a 4 pack of the 90. I know you can find this in most stores now but its still an awesome brew.
  • Sam Smith, Oatmeal Stout. (2 bombers or a four pack.. your choice) My favorite all time until Life and Limb showed up.
  • Fullers, London Pride.  Best beer in a can.  Comes in four packs.  Distribution is becoming more widespread so you should be able to find it.
  • Find a local beer.  Ask the guy/gal in the shop.  A couple of brewers to look for are natty greene's or highland brewery
  • Olde E 800.  get a 40!   and put a bow on it.  (and a few bows for somewhere else after he drinks a few... ;-))

Done. easy huh?

I know Frugal McDougal but the likelyhood of me getting there every month is pretty slim.  I do like that list though.  I could get a few of those and wrap them to give him the subscription.  Thanks.

No racing here.  I would be a very happy camper if Santa sent me some of those recovery drinks that John described a few posts back Cool

Got the 2nd annual Langley AFB 'Race Around the Base' 10 Miler this weekend... rumor mill has the F-22s doing an air show demonstration over the race start.  Should be pretty cool!

Wow! Have fun, and remember to look down once in awhile so you don't run into anything!

No racing for me. The only tri gift I'll ask for is to get to run every day while visiting my in-laws!

good luck racing peep!  nothing planned yet for me but this may change to another 5k.

tri gifts....  i'll second what julia said.  and if santa happens to run over my in-laws with his sleigh and then back over then for good measure with all the reindeer, i'm ok with that.
