I'm back too!  Effort was through the roof, time was not what I wanted it to be.  Dang.  Next time, well next year.  The racing season is officially closed for me until '12.

Awesome job Brent....just think you could have been even faster if you knew you were only running a 5K!

Wow. What are you going to do with your spare time over the next 3 weeks?

I know.  Luckily I have a hair appointment, a facial, several massages and a host of parties and lunches to attend!  Smart a$$!

Wow, me too Suzy, except I have almost no hair to have an appointment for and instead of a massage I am about to start my 2 hour trainer ride while I watch Kona 2011. We are practically twins. (NOT). Wink

Sorry, there can only be two twins by definition, Doug...off to a brunch with friends and a party tonight. Hair appointment later this week. Trevor, you are just jealous because of that basement rebuild!

Just looked at the calendar.  Jeez - how is it that we've less than three weeks to the end of the year?!?

Any goals you've got that you can squeeze in before the end?  Or is it time to throw in the towel for 2011 and drink eggnog?!?

Since signing up for IMFL I have gone back into training full bore. My goal for the rest of 2011 is to reach certain SBR  totals for the year. I would like 4K miles biking, 750 miles running and 350K yards swimming.

As I said to my wife this morning I feel better right now than I did the day of my Half 10/29. I am hoping to have dropped at least 20 lbs. by new years from my weight as of the beginning of November. I am down 13.6 so far. Andy and I have been keeping each other focused on our efforts to reach a better race weight.

It is going to be harder when we are at my parents for the Holidays.

Doug GREAT job on the weight loss thing.  A word of warning on being "Full bore training" again.... IMFL is a REALLY REALLY LONG TIME AWAY!!! Don't overdue it, burn out, peak too early, and become injured.  Enjoy the winter days/nights.  You have a long road ahead of you!

Not to worry. I am going at about 10 hrs./week with a good mix of everything. The volume will increase slowly over the year.

I like to train and I know when the workouts have reached a point where they are no being productive. Yes there is a long time until IMFL, but at the same time the last 6 weeks went FAST!

I know that it will take focus to bring myself to a point of fitness for me to have a good and fun IM experience. While some here are have the typical post IM experience (which I will probably have too), IM is a great source of focus for me. Over the last 3 years I do not recall have burned out at any point. I do have rest days and low activity days.

For now it is all good.

This ^^^^ ! Until January 2nd, no scheduled training for me. I will try to stay active and watch my nutrition, but it's going to be all about spending time with the family. My youngest daughter and grandson will be up on Friday. We're spending a few days in Spokane hanging out with relatives and then going to Montana (where my eldest daughter, house, and pets are) through Christmas. Can't wait!!!

Nice job on the weight loss, guys!  I'm sure it will help immensely come race day.

I'm heading into eggnog territory here.  Workouts have dropped way off, and the 'oomph' isn't there.  It'll come back i'm sure, but my 'get up and go' is missing!

I have a bit to go on my 2011 goals.  Added 25% to 2010's swimming is done - yeah!  Wanted to add 1000 miles to biking, so I'm almost there - less than 100 miles to go.  Wanted to hit a 1000 miles running - that's gonna be REAL close - Need 50 more, and hips and knees are sore...so, we'll see!

Biggest problem right now...finish Christmas shopping, find and wrap the presents I previously hid, and get started on Christmas cards.  EEEEK......

Even though the close of '11 is near, there are at least a few preparing to toe the line this weekend!!  Raise your hands high and tell us all about it.

To jump on Linda's question, what's your one remaining goal for this year?  Could be triathlon related, could be something completely different....do tell!
