But for the record I don't think modesty should be a concern in competition.

I'm working to be worthy of that, but, I'm just gonna do it regardless.

Btw, my seat is stock too :)  It's never bugged me, and I figure as much as people can beotch about their saddles, I'm not gonna try to fix something that ain't broke.  Not goin high falutin on that bad boy!

Actually, the racing part doesn't bug me at all.  It's the training in it that gives me pause.  You know, being that woman around town...

What am I talking about, I'm already that shyte show.  This will just add to the weirdness.  I'm actually looking forward to it now, though I feel a little sorry for my kids;)

"whoop your azz"  Put the pipe down sista.  I got a barely faster time than you in that oly and I was on a high falutin bike and had been training for tris exclusively for a year.  Please don't make me give you the beat down.  If you had a bike and really trained for it, you could go sub 2:15, probably sub 2:10.  Really.

Embarrassing them should be a goal. Small town just makes it that much more fun!

Later in life they'll thank you.

BTW, train in the least aero efficient clothes you can find. Swim in tee shirts.  You'll feel better on race day.

You're probably onto something. I keep forgetting that my kids will be picking my nursing home. I should probably have thought about that...

And the way she ignored her fans when every other girl on the team gave the little kids autographs and high fives and stuff, ugh!

Kirsten, BTW, I got to see Christine Sinclair play. Wow! Hellof a player right there! Very cool.

I know, right!  Man she was a one woman show at the Olympics.  Seems to always have time for fans too.  Sorry to hear about you and Hope though, she sure is purty.

Mia Hamm was the same way to her fans.  Not very friendly.

I am so addicted to amazon. I think I get a package at least 4 days per week. I've got to stop!!

Amazon's one touch ordering is a dangerous thing.

Especially when you have 3 cats that like to play on your ipad! Seriously, there have been some close calls

That's as bad as my toddler.  E stole my Kindle Fire.  She's almost bought apps a few times.  Fortunately, I turned off one click ordering on the Kindle.

No one should ever have to see video of themselves finishing a race.  Really, race finish?  TRI race finish? After goggles, a wetsuit, swim cap, bike helmet and all the S/B/R??? In spandex?? Quite possibly the least attractive look we could all rock.

Right?  And let me just add that if they catch you hitting the ground just right,  the combo of force and gravity is not flattering.  It's really a bad idea all the way around, except sometimes they're so bad they're hilarious, so I guess they're valuable in that way!

two days no training after radioactive belly.  Now feeling better and less 'washed out'.  So run today.

My daughter has an excursion to Melbourne Museum - which is the park I used to run around so today I'll run there and go meet her for lunch.

Tonight is swim squad.  hurrah!

Tomorrow is trainer and run, Friday is trainer, Saturday or Sunday is road ride weather dictates, and the other day is long run.  Throw in a swim squad Saturday and maybe another swim Sunday just for fun.

Race report is up. And x100 on no to videos of finish lines, I look bad enough in most pictures and Switch, you totally called it on the impact to ground/gravity thing being especially unflattering. Horrible!

Hope you feel better soon, Jo.
