I'm a definite maybe. Have to get my ride done in the morning and get there in time, maybe with
kids in tow.

I'll be a game time decision.

Me and my family are a strong possibility. We have to see how the day goes. We have two trips to Tempe that day. The other is to watch the Devils end their losing streak.

Is anyone aware of restaurants in the area that will be friendly to groups this large?

Rula Bula has a large outdoor patio the should be able to accommodate a large group of twenty or so.

Hi AZ peeps. I'm coming over for the 1/4 from San Diego area and would love to meet some BTers. Is this anyone else's first international? I'm envious you all get to test out the rides and runs. The bike sounds confusing.

Show up for the pre-lunch after the bike drop off. We would love to meet you... Yeah you might say the bike is confusion, but thats way we love tempe Dont forget to get your shots

Why, do you all bite? Wait, don't answer that.

I am going to try and find this arch and at least say hello, but depending on what time you're talking about I may not make it to the lunch. I need to swim the course while we can, plus I'll have my family with me. I just play it by ear. Thanks. btw--my name is Lynn.

Hello Lynn,
The meeting place is on the corner of Mill and Rio Salado, I hope you decide to eat with us Saturda, we are an interesting group.

And no we dont bite, well most of us dont. I was refering to the lake, its not the freshes lake in the world.

Milton

I think that Rula Bula is a great choice. It is only about a hundred yards from the meeting place and the outside patio would easily accomodate our group.

Of course it is also an excellent Irish pub ta boot.

I vote for RULA BULA, anyone second that?

Just called Rula Bula and they said that since it is a game day (ASU vs. Oregon) that they don't reserve any tables. The game isn't until 7:00 so they guy said we should be fine just coming in @ noon (i would think they would want to know about twenty people coming in but thats just me).  He said the patio hold seventy five people so we should be able to easily pull some tables together.

I even dropped Abe Froman’s name but he doesn’t seem to have the clout here that he has in Chicago.

Thanks Travis!!!!  Yeah..it's much easier to be prepared for 20 people...but what do we know, right?  So I guess we will just drop in and have to be the ones to pull together the tables. Nice.  You tried!!!

Rula Bula is the best. Try the bullucks.

Saturday is looking to be rather srewed up for me. I have a funeral in the morning and have to rush to drop my bike off and hang with you all for a short time. Because after the Funeral about half of the family is coming to my house. My mother will be at my house along with my wife. tell you all the truth I would rather stay at Rula Bula and hang with you. I kinda wanted to get that swim in as well. I wish people would die on my schedule.

I wish people would die on my schedule.

They will, it just takes a little planning.

-Jot

p.s.: I'm officially out due to family times. I hope to make the 1300 athlete meeting.
p.p.s: Yes...I'm a bad, bad, man.
