Mercer over Duke?  I HATE this tournament.

I believe the billion is officially not going anywhere now.

After 2012 against Lehigh, and now this....I will NEVER pick Duke to win a single game again.  EVER!

Good gravy, who picks Mercer, Harvard, ND St, and Dayton???? Over Duke, Cinncinati, OSU, and Ok? Not that those 4 are brutal, but that is a stretch!

Now I remember why I hate everything about Kansas.

And Wichita St. (which is now most decidedly NOT a state)  down without getting by even the first test.  Bubbeye.  

Eh...I never thought much of them (props to an undefeated season though, that's tough no matter what), but I gave them a win over KU....but not surprised that KU beat them.

On another note....that KU team of freshmen look like they are starting to gel, from the SEC conference game through the present......could be scary.

Not like it was a blowout, friends. 2 points was the only difference and EASILY could have gone either way. Even though my team came out on the short end, it was a great game!

2 points is a basketball game........and a loss is a loss.  Lots of 2 point losses in the records of every team in that tournament....you know that.  In the end the truth is the truth.....WS was a very good basketball team propped up by playing in a mid-major conference.  Not a special team or a team for the ages....just a really good team in a weak conference.

Congrats to your team on a great season......now sit down and watch the big boys play.

Damn.....Baylor and Dougie McBucket 's cold hand just killed my bracket. 

Add me to the list of crushed Creighton believers. Dougie McBuckets proves that it is the rare player that can carry his team the whole way. And that is how the West was lost.

I originally had KU knocking off WS in my bracket but changed it in the last second to go with my heart.  I mentioned I had them going one game too far in my bracket in another thread.  Not to say I wasn't hoping them to win the entire game.  To me, of all the games I watched, that was one of the most enjoyable.

So far so good in most of my bracket.  Got al the 12-5 games write and a couple other upsets.  A couple missteps was missing Mercer (but who would get that one?, Baylor, and the Kansas loss (the ending of THAT game almost made the "one shining moment" montage - just one bucket short).

I guess I was reacting more to someone else's words "never credit a non-major conference like that."
I think they still deserve a ton of credit for hanging with Kentucky, the entire game resting on the final play. 

Hey Wichita St might not have won , but they played a very competitive game, one of the best games of the tournament. Give them some credit...

My Memphis Tigers ran into a hot Virginia team that was not missing. Think UVA shot 75% for the game. They could be tough if they continue to play like that, not hearing much talk about UVA!

I agree.....the seeding this year was goofy.  And WS was doomed from the start with the bracket they potentially faced.  If they made it all the way i would have called them the greatest team ever. 

St. Louis as a 5 seed while Michigan St. is a 4?  Dumb.  That's just the most glaring example.  Maybe Warren Buffet paid off the selection comittee.
