Subject: RE: Spirit of Racine Half Ironman TriathlonI can only go based off what I saw at the HIM last year and how the sprint was run. At the HIM, the only cutoff time there was (there was one, fyi) was for the swim. I can't remember WHAT it was, but I think it was something like 1.5 hrs after the last wave went off. There were no bike cutoffs...I would know, I was the carnival barker telling people where the dismount line was...and I was never told to tell someone they couldn't continue (and I had the hoarse voice and sore legs for days for standing out there for hours). In the sprint, the Clydes went off in their own wave, next to last. The Athena, on the other hand (I was one, so I have 1st hand knowledge) went with the first wave of non-elite females. I'm not sure if it was done that way in the HIM, but it probably was. |
