Dude....what is up with this water temp...are they kidding???

I would love to get up there this weekend and swim, but it doesn't look like I can make it...

Peg-are we all going to meet for dinner again on Friday night before the race???  Should we get a group together??

There is a fundraiser diner on Friday night at Infusinos for those interested...CindyK made a post about it. 

Please do.  I may have to swim for my DH.  YIKES.

I'm going to be coming from Milwaukee and have to make sure all my crap is packed before hand...plus we Sprint people have to make sure to do packet pick up on Friday.  I'm shooting for a little bit later in the evening...6:30 ish.

Any recommendations for goggle lenses ( clear, tinted, mirrored), I’ve always used clear in the pool , but in the few OWS that I’ve done I could see where a tinted or mirrored lens might be nice.

Ray, you've been around long enough. You know the drill. Race the way you train.  

x2 what Deanna said.  If your current goggles work for you, unless you try the new ones like NOW, don't go messing with what works.  On a personal note, I use tinted goggles both in the pool and OWS...it's what I had, and they work fine for me.  The tinting helps a LITTLE bit for sun glare, but not all that much, and when they fog up, it's zero visibility.

AQUASPHERE Kaimen are the best!!!

Hello race rans.  Let's see, 10 days and a wake up.  The true countdown begins.

So, I hit the water link again, today, and it show's yesterday's temps.  Can someone PLEASE explain to me how the shore line can be that much colder than farther out?  Doesn't that seem counter intuitive?

We gots the rain yesterday, so it makes sense that the more shallow water might be a little colder...but that's just my take on it.  All I know is I'm glad I have a full suit this year!!

Don't know if this is old news or not (location change from Case HS to closer spot) , but it looked new to me:

·  Half Distance Procedures
All half athletes need to pick up their materials on Friday or Saturday ONLY which will include everything they need to race (bib, frame number, helmet number, goodie bag, timing chip and strap, shirt, waterbottle, etc).

Participants competing in the Half Distance Triathlon are required to check their bikes into the transition area at North Beach Park on Saturday between the hours of 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

If we're getting a head count for 6-6:30-put me down for two peeps!

6-6:30 for dinner works for us. Me and the Mrs. + Cole (16 months)
