Depending on what time you meet up I think I would like to join the wednesday morning ride. Just let me know when and where to meet.

Ok, so I have my workouts for this week. Only midweek bike is on Thursday for 90 minutes. (I'm actually going to brick this and do a 4 mile run...I know Scott was worried about that so we
can stop by my house and park the bikes and then go run. )

I propose 0500 at the _S_ W corner of Riggs and McQueen (Fry's parking lot). We'll do 90 minutes of the Tour De Sacaton. Then I'll head home (less than a mile away) and run. Anyone is welcome to join that too. Anyone not running should be done by 0630.

5 minute rule. 0505 we'll head out.

No secret I know of. I signed up with Nick Goodman over at Durapulse.

I can tell you my workouts haven't gotten any easier.

  • ..and that damn "Swim Workouts for Triathletes" is evidently some sort of

I was just teasing with you because I had asked you on a previous page and was ignored! Very cool...you been with DP for a while or just started for Ironman?

    Sorry, didn't see it.

Only started with DP for IM. Did Joe Friel's TTB up until Deuceman.

The VO2 test was interesting. The HR run training is hard when your legs feel good, and easy when your legs are dead.

It's nice to abdicate the training program responsibility to someone else who knows what they're doing.

I can only do Wednesday this week. If noone posts anything I will just ride out here in Maricopa tomorrow. Plus, 5am would be extremely difficult for me to make. LOL

Moto Mort, I'd be up for a ride tomorrow morning, and Thursday too! I'm not very familiar with Chandler though as I live Central Phoenix. If you know any good place to meet up and ride, i'm happy to do so, i'm also more flexiblel with time since I don't have to be at work until 10:30 am.

I don't know what speed you are looking for, I'm not fast, usually about 15mph average.

Let me know if you want to meet up somewhere, if not i'll probably be swimming, and hitting the trainer tomorrow AM.

Lisa, would you be up for a ride tomorrow?? I know you'll probably be going out Thursday too.

    Warp speed baby!

I have a HR range, so we make sure we stay as a group. If my HR is low I up my cadence at a lower gear to make sure we're not dropping people. Last week we averaged 14.6.

Looks like I am out for Wednesday. Getting from Maricopa to Chandler for me by 5:30am on a weekday will be to much of a challenge for me. LOL

Looks like I will cruise around Maricopa by myself some more tomorrow. I have a goal to ride 20 miles in one hour. My longest ride has been 26 miles. LOL So I am more of a short distance kind of guy. I am supposed to go with the FCA group starting from Rural and Chandler Blvd for a 45 mile ride on Saturday. That should be interresting.

5:30 at the NW corner of riggs and mcqueen for about 120 minutes. It will be one 22 mile trip to Sacaton Rd. and back and then hopefully adding on an additional 10 miles.

Kerri and Milton are you in? Anyone else?

Chime in here if you are going otherwise I will not go and wait there.

If you want to go the full 30 miles just do the full Tour De Sacaton.

Take 87 to the Shell Gas station turn off.
Take that down to the Shell station. Turn right.
Take that to Country Club/387 and head north.

    Here is the map.

I'll be doing some segment of that on Thursday at 0500.

It looks like I missed some good times. LOL I really need to learn to go to sleep early so I can get my butt out of bed earlier and join you guys on a mid-week ride. I just did 20 miles in Maricopa. I almost made my goal. I did it in in 1:00:59. I just need to shave off 1 minute.

Our little adventure had everything, death (dead duck), sex (I'm pretty sure there were condums out in the desert somewhere) scenery (for Az), Mystery (Java, where the *ell are we going? do we turn here or here?) and suspense (Wonder where this road goes?) who could ask for more?

Yes, no kidding, we got lost in Sacaton, How do you get lost in Sacaton???? And on top of that we were attack by two Taco Bell dogs (those mean little beasts) and two other dogs on the in and out of the ride.. and slammed by trucks
Next time im being my cat to toss at them

Moral of this log, if Java says "Lets go on an adventure", make her show you a map!

All fun times, I would love to do this ride on a weekend, when theres less traffic

"Map, we dont need no stinking Map!!!" anyone who is a male!!
