I had PT this morning.  I will try to go to the gym between lab work and my class tonight, but I can't guarantee it will happen.

I need a ruling from the team/people in charge of the challenge: is it too late to change my goal?

I talked to my ortho doc and physical therapist this week.  They gave me the go-ahead to start running and biking, but think my training plan is too agressive.  They recommended doing the shorter duathlon instead of the one I am currently training for.

Would it be ok for me to switch my goals based on changing the training plan?

Sorry about this.

I rec'd my plan through 2/15 and put in my goal numbers based on that
Swim: 8600 yds
Run: 36 miles
Bike: 9:40 on trainer
Strength: 4 sessions

So far on track. My run today was a little short today as it was wicked windy outside and wind chill was -9.

I can't see why you couldn't change you goals since your plan changed based on your helth and what your doctor told you.

We're lucky enough that Jenny is in our team, I guess she can tell you the real answer better than me.

I agree medical reasons usually allow changes to goals. Hope the new plan works for you

I got my third swim in this week.  May flip my swim from Sunay to Saturday this week.  My friend Susan who rides a lot wants to get together on Sunday afternoon.  I haven't ridden with her since July 4 and she hasn't seen BLUE in person. then again, neither has Jen

I think it will be better.  The other one was a little too much to start off with.

If a little is good then a lot must be better, right?

Got a decent swim set on this afternoon.  I'm riding with Susan tomorrow....it's supposed to be 70 degrees!  Crazy it was 16 degrees the other morning!

Morning team

I just finished a 75 min run and then an hour on the trainer. Kind of a reverse brick. Now I will surf a bit then go read for a while.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi team! Sorry I've been kind of ASOL!! Last week was really busy, with not much time for BT, then I was away over the weekend (got some good skiing in with my son - FUN!!). But I'm back now, and it should be smoother sailing for (most of) the rest of the month.

Hi Team Washington!  Sorry I haven't been on here pumping everyone up.  It's my first challenge and I didn't even know where to post the info until a few days ago.  Anyway, Keep up the great work everyone!  I have a bike workout to make up for from last week and have one today (as well as a swim).  So I'll do my bike today and bike tomorrow.  Don't worry, I'm not slacking!!!
