Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: FB Mafia Wars Support Group jldicarlo - 2009-07-13 1:54 PM Did any of y'all add me??? I can't get to FB at work...but if you didn't...add me! I'll take care of you when I get home. I'd rather not add "total strangers" to my mafia just to get a bigger family but am OK with BTers. That whole "add for Mafia Wars" and then delete as a friend thing sounds WAY too complicated. I know I'm only hurting myself since my mafia will stay small...but...I just can't bring myself to do it. Question for you guys...obviously I have several people in my "mafia" that are just people that had the Mafia Wars application but don't play...kind of like they clicked on a join request but never followed through. I've tried sending a few of them some weapons and stuff so that my mafia is stronger. This works, right? Everytime people have gifted me stuff it automatically shows up...I don't have to click to accept or whatnot. So if I send some high attack/defense stuff to the "non-working" members of my mafia, am I helping myself? Or wasting my time? I'm not sure how the engine works, but I don't think it matters what they have or what level they are... It matters what YOU have. I sort of look at it this way. They are the manpower, but you have to supply them with armor, weapons, and vehicle. So I make sure that I have one of each of the best weapon available, best car, and best armor for every mafia member. The only thing I see to having a mafia that is stong individually, is that you can promote them to your top mafia to help with getting more money from jobs, using less energy, etc. The reason I think this was is because my wife only has about 16 mafia and only 5 play. The rest are just signed up and under level 10. However, she/me has weapons/car/armor for each of them and we win maybe 70% off all fights against mafias that are 20 or less. |

I"ve seen what is supposedly the weird formula for this,, but can't find it... It's a combination of all of your values. Attack/defense/stamina/health/energy plus the number of people in your mafia. and for every person in your mafia they need weapons, vechiles, defense if you have 50 people but only 20 good weapons that's not good. You can see that each item has a attack/defense value you want the higher ones... If I have 200 sniper rifles at 35/30 and you have 400 pistols at 10/5 that tips things in my favor |

I'll look again but it counts more what you have since you are being attacked, if you gave away all your weapons, but your mafia was strong, I don't think you would defend many attacks. the formula explains why someone with a small mafia of say 60 can beat a large 501 one. this might explain more,, I know some things change to take into the cuba stuff.. it looks like there is no combining of values. if you are defending yourself it the defend number http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=83266062198&id=99274538125&ref=nf |

Then I am going to Cuba. Party! Yes! The Golden Throne! Me too! But unfortunately I am just having to hit the Boss jobs as they open up for me. But I am close to finishing Consigliere...and you get a 30" reduction in the energy timer from that I believe. But that only makes a difference of about 32 energy per day. Not much when you think about it. Golden Throne is better. Hence why after Consigliere I hope to just work on the Boss tier then go back and do Under Boss after. By the time I finish Consigliere I believe I should have all the Boss jobs open. |

But I guess I'll stop giving away my weapons... Edited to add that I used to do very well at beating any mafia smaller than mine and the last week or so I'm not doing so well. I thought it was because I had been leaning towards putting my skill points to energy...so I have been increasing the number of points I put at attack/defense instead. But I dunno...maybe I need to acquire myself some good weapons. What's good to have and how do you get it? Edited by jldicarlo 2009-07-14 8:55 AM |

Someone was asking if they would still get the throne even though they hadn't completed the Under Boss level yet. The consensus was YES...so I decided this was a good plan. Worst case I won't have really LOST anything, right? |

You don't need to suck TOO much time into it...I could probably just play for a total of 15 minutes a day and get almost everything done. The only time I am on longer than that is when I am close to leveling up so I keep hanging around to finish up so as not to waste any energy. |
