So I had to mix some erev Christmas events in - I think they still deserve Junits given that we start counting at sundown right???

My kids left with their dad early this morning.  I am still  sick which sucks but so far:

1. Movie: Alvin and the Chipmunks the squeakwel (very funny)
2. Thai food (chinese had too long a line)

today has been spent in bed watching movies and eating....

The Hangover is really funny for those who have not yet seen it!

Any other lonely Jews this Christmas?  How about an informal competition of who can log the most hours and/or eat the most Chinese food on Dec 25th?  For conversion purposes 1 hr training = 1 Junit (like a Jew-unit...work with me here) and 1 lb of Chinese foot = 1.5 Junits.  I'm aiming for 4.5 Junits.  I might consider going to the movies as 0.5 Junits if anyone pushes for it and skiing a full day as 2 Junits (half day is 1).

If more than 3 people post their results, I'll search my house for what will probably be a really, really awesome (i.e. bad) prize for the winner.

Goyim need not apply (just kidding, you can apply too, but the spirit is for non-Christians or those who are lonely on Christmas, Jewish, Christian or otherwise)

I ran for about an hour and did some stretching, so put me down for 1 junit. However, I'm not eating any Chinese foot as I think they'll need it to walk! ;-)

2.0 Junits of riding on the trainer. Wondering if I get any street cred Junits for watching two hours of WEEDS while riding?

BTW, I hoped to ski but it is 5 degrees with crazy winds in Winter Park,CO. so I decided against skiing

I raise my Manischewitz to the OP!

and the kicker-
I made myself a bike shirt that says "Speschulized" and am ordering it on xmas
thats got to get me to at least 5 Junits!

my other xmas option was to go to my friends house and listen to her mom sing "Happy Birthday Baby Jesus"!  yikes!

Half-hour swimming and some Japanese candy = MAYBE one Junit.

1.88 Junits for me, 1:50 mins on trainer doing Spinervals Endurance Booster DVD (kicked my butt!)
No Chinese, though, had dinner with the grandparents and great grandparents.
Thought I might get some extra credit junits for the wife, kids, and I volunteering to serve lunch at the downtown homeless shelter (our synagogue does a "trading places" thing that has members trade places with regular workers to allow them to be off for Christmas), but they called at the last minute and didn't need us.  Oh well....  Would have been a very good lesson for my kids.

Happy Holidays to all!!!!

Hmmm...3.5 Junits for me I think if you are counting the movies.

1.5 Junits for exercise
1.5 Junits for Chinese food!   At least...I may have qualified for more here
0.5 Junits for the movies.

And I'm lonely because I'm at some military training in the middle of nowhere Mississippi.  Christmas tends to be just another day on the calendar for me....

Looks like we have a winner: jldicarlo!  Congrats.  If you PM me your address, I will send you the super secret awesome prize.

However, in terms of an actual prize worth winning, I was contacted by marmadaddy and he contributed a real prize...6 months silver BT membership!

Thanks to everyone who posted their results (and jokes).

Sorry I couldn't play.  I was too busy doing "Jewey things"...  I took the family to New York City.  Lunch at the Carnegie Deli (mmmmmm... pastrami!) and Chinese food for dinner on Central Park West after the Museum of Natural History.  (My kids now feel like they're veteran NYC subway riders.)

OK - So it was the Saturday AFTER Christmas, but close enough.  Wink

And for any of the other "Lonely Jews on Christmas"...  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dznGHXNvXOw&feature=related
