I went for a run last night and had to brush my teeth when I got home. The toothpaste spit was yellow! NASTY!!!! two weeks ago i was about 3 miles out on from the house on a run when a front blew through. winds picked up and the rain was just pouring. it blew the pollen off the trees creating this weird yellow "fog". it was actually pretty cool. but then, like you i got the stuff in my mouth and it was kinda gross. |

Yeah, I had to break up my run yesterday into two parts. I ran at lunch time and after 3 miles called it a day. I ran then est of it at night near my house to get in the total time i had planned. I am hoping the front coming through tonight brings rain and cleans it up. I understand Lake Jordan has a pine pollen film on it. |

Swam masters for about 8 years, never got fast, but had a lot of fun! Got pretty sick, spent some time in the hospital, final dx included Rheumatoid Arthritis. Steroid weight gain stunk! Took/take lots of meds to control RA, not working as well as I'd like. Decided 9/08 (while watching hubby race IMCanada)that THAT plan wasn't working (meds and no exercise) and decided to race an Ironman. why not?!? Also decided that I'd do one race of each distance during that year. Ran Rock-N-Roll 1/2 mary 3 weeks later. THAT hurt. Decided that I'd need to train. Did Napa Mary in March, BQ'd. Shocked the he** out of myself and everyone around me. Did Wildflower HIM in May, Auburn Olympic in June, IMWI in September, and finished out the year on my 1 year race anniversary with a sprint tri (that my youngest beat me at!) Currently training for Boston in 11 days, HIM Wildflower in 3 weeks, and IM CDA on June 27. Past Races: See above! |

Elite 3779 Ontario | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group- WE FLY!!! fattyfatfat - 2010-04-08 9:41 AM wonderful. a canadian that trains with a power tap. here's how this conversation is gonna go.... canada blah blah blah be nice blah blah blah free stitches blah blah blah hit a moose on my bike last night blah blah blah... coupled with a conversation with tony about numbers per second per watt per hair on the a$$ per i just peed so not only is my frontal area reduced but i'm lighter hence faster per how good do i look in this kit. ;-) I'm guessing this would be me...and don't worry, I stay away from the local moose population. But yes, I like to geek out with numbers a little bit, so if other's have PT training knowhow to share, I'll be the sponge. I rode my Tacx iMagic trainer with power the past couple of years and finally got the PT - had an iBike last year, but wasn't super happy with it. |

Expert 801 Oklahoma City | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! I'm in again - NAME: Trina STORY: Athlete growing-up (softball and volleyball). Played softball until I was in my mid thirties. Have exercised on gym equipment consistently for 8 years (usually about three times a week on the elliptical for 30 minutes). Received a hybrid bike for Christmas 2008. Rode it like crazy around the lake in front of my house the entire year. Don't care to ride in sub 30 degree weather, so thought I'd swim on cold days once winter arrived. Realized I'd be doing 2 out of the 3 tri sports, and being the goal-oriented and somewhat obsessive person that I am, thought it would be fun to start running and train for a triathlon. I currently work out of the home and my business is pretty much running itself, so I have a LOT of time to train. FAMILY STATUS: Married for 23 years. One grown son. Two schnauzers and a mean cat. CURRENT TRAINING: 2x balanced 20 week plan. PAST RACES: Hope for Haiti 5K, YMCA Chili Day Multisport Festival Triathlon (sprint). UPCOMING RACES: Redbud Classic 10 m. bike, Lonestar Triathlon (sprint). WEIGHTLOSS: Still have 30lbs to go (have lost 20 since beginning training) |

The selection is limited. I am about to try and build a course for Augusta to train on. I honestly like training on my CT as I can multitask and I am available to my family if I am absolutely needed. Anyone know if it is possible to change my number readout on the computer screen to a brighter color than RED? It is hard to read the number from the bike. |

I can't comment on the Computrainer, even though I know it's considered the gold standard for trainers, but the RLV's from Tacx are awesome (resistance on the trainer adapts to the slope of the road). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaskOFDexSw&feature=related |
