Way to go, Joe!  My week is a little side-tracked.  My wife is training for a half-marathon in September so we have to juggle our schedules.  SHe really needed to get a run in last night, so I skipped my group ride.  Was supposed to get up for a killer morning workout (2000yd swim followed by long run of ~9miles), but could not sleep last night. So I'll swim at lunch today, run tomorrow morning and ride Thursday night. Then I'll be back on schedule.

I still love you, but you need to rectify that alcohol-imbalance...

I still need to do that!!! Tonight!

Well, my Hoss friends, how's everyone's week going?! I had a great run last night and headed to the pool for a swim and water jog this evening!

Taper, taper, taper. It is actually kind of nice to taper this week -- I can catch up on my sleep. I will be back on track beginning next week and will surely hit my goals this month.

All right guys, of what they have reported, we are tied for second place. Team Endless Summer is in the lead. However, this is not about where it's at now, it's about our attainment at the end of the month! We can do it!!! Let's go and do every last workout on our training plans and kick some ass!!!!

How the heck did I end up so far ahead of the rest of you?  C'mon gang!  Let's getting moving!  I know it's summer time, and it's hot, and all the other excuses, but there is no excuse for defeat!

I'll be running tonight, in 95F heat.  What are YOU going to do?

Watching my 2004 Kona video. I love the taper man. Oh yeah, and putting my tires on my new Zipp 404's!

Sweet....

Mike and Blackbud, can you guys tell me your goals again, just to be sure I have it right? I think I screwed up, so the #s in the spreadsheet may not be entirely accurate.

Heh heh heh, Mike's been spending to much time changing tires, I see. *snicker*

Ok, sorry, boyfriend's been gone for almost two weeks. Everything's a perverse joke to me right now.

Nothing hotter in my mind than a tri chick. The Kona video is *almost* soft porn for me!

Mike

PS. Here are my goals from the original thread:

Swim: 13,000 m
Bike: 600 miles
Run: 60 miles

Well, if you're watching the Kona video while changing tires, it probably does qualify as porn.

Just a little note for you all:  I have already exceeded the 50% mark in ALL of my goals for this month.

Swim and short ride tonight, very short run tomorrow (~5K), and short spin on Saturday prior to race day Sunday.  Next week is the real taper for Boulder Peak.

I'm in trouble team.  I can't seem to shake this intestinal thingy.  I may be able to hit my swim and run/walk goals but no way on the bike.   I tried to ride but the position on the bike seems to, um, anger my bowels.

DZ: Charlie have you ever actually had Liquigas?

CW: You mean like when the s*#t comes out of your ass in a Liquid?

DZ: Sure.

CW: I had to quit the Giro in 2003 because of it.

DZ: Thanks for the interview.

Have you tried Imodium?

Way to go, Joe!

That totally sucks, Tambra Jo.   I wonder if there's some sort of dispensation for this kind of situation. I don't know, but I'll go ask on the Cap'n thread.

Well, guys. I don't think I'll be able to be here much the next few days. My puppy has kennel cough, so I'll be working from home. I can post, but I can't log. So I'll log my stuff on Monday, don't worry.

I want to ride my bikey!!! Waaaaaa.  Every morning I watch the Tour Day France and want to ride... I keep thinking I would fit right in with the boys from Team Liquigas, or "leakygas" as the british commentators say.  I love Dave Zabriskies on bike interview with Charlie Wegelius of the Liquigas Team.  I can relate!  I am going to try and ride this weekend.... slowly and close to home.

GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!!
I was having the same problem, turns out it was giardia(sp) a tiny bacteria found in lakes and streams. Gives ya the runs, cramping, mucho gas, ect... The doc gave me some antibiotics and it should clear up. She said most people have it, but it effects everyone differently. Not exactly sure that's your problem but it's worth a shot. Just my $0.02.

Giardia actually is mainly found in stagnant water.  I got a sweet case of it about 10 years ago after going on a long mountain run w/ not enough water.  I was parched and there was this little pool of cool, clear water in the exposed granite that looked so good I couldn't resist. Lesson learned...

I don't know much about Georgia, but it's everywhere in Colorado. Something to do with fur trappers in the 1800's poopin and peein in the lakes and streams.

I always kinda wonder if I might get sick doing all the ows...cause I get lots of water in my mounth. Where I swim in my town, most people I know won't go in the water..but there is  beach and people swimming. I don't know if they test the water...but so far so good. Perhaps ignorance is bliss. Not much of where I swim is stagnent water. Going to MN next week...lots of big waves since it is a huge lack.

How is everyone doing on their goals? I can't read the link of our stats. I figured mine tonight...I'm at 60% swim, 45% bike and 33% and tomorrow is the half way point. Sounds like Joe is already over 50%....great job!
