Actually, you won't have rings to sell - you won't beat LSU. And UGa people need to stop all the whining, each year it is the same excuse, we are so injured, we are so injured, boo hoo...you still have only one TWICE in the last 15 years! And this is the second time you have backed into the SEC title game in the last 4 years because of UF's mishaps.

Regarding our coach, maybe you guy's didn't notice that he took Utah to a BCS bowl last year. Was anybody watching? He was gipped the chance to play a real team, but instead they decided to beat up on Pitt. His first year at BGSU and UU had offenses that ranked 65 and 55, then in the second year they were 8 and 3. It seems that UF is on par with Urban's past record, and we are still on track to beat all 3 of our rivals during the season. Even the Ole Ball Coach had trouble doing that.

Again I say.....HAVE FUN IN SHREVEPORT.......!! The only way Florida is going to Atlanta anytime in the near future is on their way to Nasville for that other Bowl Game...face it UF is irrelevant in the SEC and has been since Spurrier left....I am gonna laugh when he comes in and nabbs all of your recruits.

And as for Urban Dukakis.....until he wises up and runs a conventional offense you guys won't beat FSU or South Carolina anytime soon. (I am not going to say the same about us, for what ever reason we can't get over the mental hump). And as for injuries, everyone knows that with Shockley we beat you guys. You are lucky you didn't play Auburn this year, give them a field goal kicker and they are undefeated again.

How did I know that you guys would be on here talking smack about beating a pathetic FSU team....I was embarassed for Bobby Bowden yesterday, that had to be the worst football team FSU put on the field in 30 years. VaTech may hang a hundred on them next week....Yikes!

not only did FSU lose, but they were close to a SHUTOUT! Now, that's what I call a fun game to watch. I normally don't care for football (other than the Gators), but this game had me jumping on the couch! Woooooo!

The sad thing is talent wise especially offensively they are a very talented team. Two consecutive top 5 recruiting classes, 5 extrordinary underclassmen recievers, three top notch running backs, and two highly talented QB's. The problem is that Bobby has installed his idiotic son as offensive coordinator, and the kid couldn't put together a successful offensive game plan against a pop warner team. Jeff Bowden had two weeks to prepare for the Gators and his offensive scheme was rediculous, and simplistic. FSU got out coached which lead to the kids getting out played.

Gator Nation gets bragging rights for a year. And until Jeff Bowden gets fired I don't see FSU imporving any over time. Sad how Bobby's stubborness and Jeff's huburous have destroyed a once great football program. Fire Jeff Bowden!!! By the way I [predict FSU will loose the ACC championship game and their bowl game. Thus loosing the final 5 games of the season. I also predict FSU will only score two offensive touchdowns in the final two games. I also predict that Bobby will fire the QB coach but not do a damn thing about Jeff. (Last year when fans were calling to fire Jeff, Bobby fired the offensive line coach who had been the offensive line coach for 14 years. That coach was proptly hired as an assistant coach in the NFL. He is going to burry his head in the sand about the reality of the problem until the program is battling the likes of Rutgers.

Its okay all you Gator haters...I too felt what you feel. It was my senior year, our beloved Ole Ball coach had left us for the garnet and gold of the NFL, and we had just hired a man with no experience to lead Gator Nation in the greatest, toughest conference in all the land. The Zook era struck me with great fear, while I am sure many of you felt great joy. Last night the tides turned, and you were witness to the awakening of a great beast, and you are now afraid. Last night, a once anemic offense found some life, and lit up the number 10 defense in the land. A great defense showed that Vandy and SC were flukes, and lead an unrelenting attack against a young QB who will forever fear the name "the Swamp." And all non-Gators, you now fear it too, you witnessed the rebirth of the hardest place in all of college football to play. Its not the field between the hedges, its not happy valley or touchdown jesus; not even the big house, the collisium or the horseshoe compare. The Swamp has returned to its glory; only Gators get out alive.

p.s. Gators eat dawgs - check the news, happens every year.

Since when does a "return to glory" entail losing three times in your own conference?

BTW, have you guys won a conference title this century yet?

It's called "selective logic." You're back to glory 'cause you won every game at home, yet all the quality opposition was played (and lost to) away. Then, as someone above said, you beat "all your rivals" when you narrowly define "rivals" as "the teams we beat."Cry

Still no better than second in the state, won't be in Atlanta next weekend without tickets.

As someone who went to school in Tallahassee, all I can say is that this game carries monumental importance in the state.  You can crap up the entire season, but beating the Gators made everything "okay". All of the Florida schools had less than stellar programs this year, Miami fell below expectations, as did FSU.  Florida held pat with their new coach.  I gotta tip the hat, as Florida showed us how the game's played.  I can only pray that this Christmas, Santa will bring a new Offenisve Coordinator to FSU.

Go 'Noles.

Second tier. Not exactly something to crow about, but if you're a lowly gator I guess you take it as it comes.

On a related note, earlier in the season, I seem to remember a thread  about how strong the ACC was. Now, with a couple of top 10 teams but the top  three others barely hanging in the top 25, anyone want to restate that claim?

Jeffry,

This is a prime example of why everyone else in the SEC cannot stand Florida fans. You cannot engage in good natured ribbing without getting an attitude. It seems that the other Gators on here can take it and dish it in a "good natured, its football season" kind of way, but you have to get your panties (worn underneath your jean shorts no doubt) in a wad over the fact that the Mighty Crocodiles are going to an unimportant second tier bowl. Guess what if we don't beat LSU Saturday we are right there with you.....if you don't win the conference then whatever bowl you go to doesn't matter, all it is are 15 more practice days toward next season. Get over yourself and your Gators, face it at 8-3 you had your best season in years with a new coach and you beat your biggest rivals all in one season you should be happy with that. But instead you and your jean shorts wearing, mullet having bretheren, have to disparage other teams to make your accomplishments seem bigger. I thought it interesting that at last years UGA v UF game when we were up 24-7 at half time the UF side emptied and half of your fans didn't come back, what kind of loyalty or encouragement is that? You were so spoiled by the Spurrier days that you don't remember how mediocre UF football was prior to his arrival and how fortunate your program is to have enjoyed so much success.

On another note....any LSU BTers coming to town for the game if you want to ride Saturday morning we have a great trail here in town. PM me for directions.

Would love to be there, unfortunately I'll be in Vegas doing a little run.

Should be a good one, really think the best two teams in the SEC made it to the championship. With Georgia at full strength (unlike when they played Florida), LSU will have to put together a complete game to win, something they have yet to do this season.

And we do wear shoes, unlike some coonasses.

But seriously, GA's offense was pretty pathetic against Tech, and Shocley pretty much stunk up the place. LSU in a cake walk.
