Meow! My fans say that in real life, I'm just like the way I am on BT. My detractors will say the same. I make no apologies for who I am. As far as perceptions vs reality, I'll be sure not to tease you again since you didn't perceive my teasing tone. The reality was that I thought you could take some good-natured ribbing. Thanks for setting me straight and letting me know how you feel about me! p.s. Posterchild For Virility was a complement, not a slam. turqy - 2006-02-06 8:58 PM [QUOTE} i sometimes play the nice guy role, I sometimes play the raging hormone. you play the all knowing pushy bitch. i'm sure the way we are percieved on the web is just exactly how we are on in real life.
honestly i couldn't tell in your post if you were kidding or on the rag so i chose a similar path with a harsh but playful response.
i was debating whether or not you'd take my reply as an insult or a ribbing. it was intended as the latter and i'll admit i have been a bit curious all day to see how you'd respond since i rode that line so finely.
i figure you're the type to be able to handle it, not a description i'd pass on everybody on this forum. i won't go the "in the future no more posts about blah blah blah" route because banter is fun and i think you like all you can get. so unless you're crying about the above post i see no reason for either of us to rethink our posting style.
as for being who you are on the net? i think its fine that some folks are a mirror of themselves in the virtual world. i however am a schizo. i heavily subscribe to the "actors in a play" strategy and i like to change my roles up alot. i'm of course consistent via email or my training log, but a forum is an open season for bullshit. |
