i just wanted to know how the women on the board feel about guys at the gym.

What's the big deal? It's not like you're asking her out while she's on her back getting a pelvic exam. It's just a freaking gym, by definition a social gathering place.

Ixnay on the advice giving simply because it's a phony approach. Be real.

the only girl i know who got hit on at the gym is marrying the guy.  haha.  he wasn't actually hitting on her, he just muttered a funny comment about some meathead nearby, she heard, laughed, and the rest is history!

so what happened with Mystery Girl??

Hmmm...maybe she's conducting an experiment for her sociology class???

My advice: If you're gonna do it, wait until she's outside the gym or at the fountain or something. In the weight room is just a little too awkward.

In the three days you've spent talking about asking this girl I've actually driven to Allen and taken her out. Twice. Once for breakfast. Seriously, get on with it. Go big or go home.

LMAO...hey it's the internet.  Even Chuck Norris can't pee without asking someone first.

wow. so. much. pain.

i only goto the gym on mondays and wednesdays, so today was the first chance i had and...

she wasn't there. go cry about it you reality t.v. addicted drama queens.

i'm sure i'll get around to it when she shows back up but the important piece of information for the community at large is that over the weekend i met a girl at a concert that i'll be going out with soon. so while all of you were obsessing over this one gym girl i was spinnin' plates like a vegas show gone bad.

anyways if she ever does show up to the gym i'll let you know. (she probably reads this forum and has since fled in fear)

It wouldn't work out anyway because if you dated her for more than just a little slap and tickle you'd end up telling her about this thread at some point and ZOOM! she'd be gone.

Yes, she would fly but only because she would be appalled that the Turkmeister, Posterchild for Virility, actually had to take a poll about passing her a note that sez "Do you like me: Yes or No." So to speak.

Meow!

My fans say that in real life, I'm just like the way I am on BT. My detractors will say the same. I make no apologies for who I am.

As far as perceptions vs reality, I'll be sure not to tease you again since you didn't perceive my teasing tone. The reality was that I thought you could take some good-natured ribbing. Thanks for setting me straight and letting me know how you feel about me!

p.s. Posterchild For Virility was a complement, not a slam.

honestly i couldn't tell in your post if you were kidding or on the rag so i chose a similar path with a harsh but playful response.

i was debating whether or not you'd take my reply as an insult or a ribbing. it was intended as the latter and i'll admit i have been a bit curious all day to see how you'd respond since i rode that line so finely.

i figure you're the type to be able to handle it, not a description i'd pass on everybody on this forum. i won't go the "in the future no more posts about blah blah blah" route because banter is fun and i think you like all you can get. so unless you're crying about the above post i see no reason for either of us to rethink our posting style.

as for being who you are on the net? i think its fine that some folks are a mirror of themselves in the virtual world. i however am a schizo. i heavily subscribe to the "actors in a play" strategy and i like to change my roles up alot. i'm of course consistent via email or my training log, but a forum is an open season for bullshit.

So relieved to read that you are not a weanie-wannabe after all. You had temporarily been toppled from the internet pedestal upon which you were resting. While you were down, I kicked the pedestal away - no more pedestal.

real men like jack bauer and myself don't need pedestals. they crush lesser men like chuck norris and use them as stools.

I don't really want to know the details of your BMs.

BTW, Chuck Norris wears his jeans too high on his waist.

Totally unrelated except for the word 'stool'.

Best line ever spoken on SNL.  "I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool!"

Phil Hartman as Sinatra to Sting as Billy Idol.  Now, for all you fellow old timers I am a huge fan of the early days, but casting Sting as Billy Idol was sheer genius.
