A personal note on the McDonald's one; I assume the "funny" bit is the marquee touting management careers. My brother-in-law is in the upper senior leadership of the international finance division of a major hi tech industry leading international company. He started his management career at McDonald's. He also met my sister there, and she, all my siblings, and myself all started our working lives at McDonald's. We've all done pretty well so far.

I think it was more about the misspelling of 'manager'.
