Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I assume they're keeping Shamar because his muscles are still useful. But why, after they lost, did the topic never again come up that he wanted to go home? If I felt like I was on the outs, like Laura, I would have been playing that for all its worth. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I really didn't get the "I'm quitting" thing... the thought process makes no sense what so ever. Unless you just want attention and sympathy... like a 3 year old. He will nt find much happiness in life if that is how he wants to live it. He is most certainly his own worst enemy. But if the fans keep loosing... two dudes are done... they have 6. They can just split the vote again next week, and or get the idol the next. No reason for any of the six to go out on a limb at this point. |

It's surprising that Shamar is that immature. To be a Sargent usually you are late 20's early 30's right? You would think serving 2 tours would mature you quick but this guy is an immature child. |

Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() If you told me at the beginning of this season I'd be fine with Hope being voted off, I'd have told you you are crazy. Yeah, she's got gorgeous eyes and a great bod, but man the girl was just as dull as molasses! On top of that, she had the nerve to say she was a strong player after being eliminated...Umm, no. You chose to go with the wrong players. btw, I could care less if Sherri is loaded, I'm rooting for her! She's a dead ringer for Sandra Bullock in my eyes, and she just seems like a cool chick. |

It's a shame too. Maybe it's a stereotype, but I can't recall running into any veterans of any military branch that TO ME, seems better than your average citizen and stand up people. Then I see this? I'm not going to hold it against the USMC, but dayum, he's not putting up a very good image of what a marine should be like - mostly the lazy, poor me when no one listens, passive aggressive stuff. Stuff I wouldn't ever associate with the USMC. Maybe just me and people or just people, no matter their occupation. |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() Wow, Shamar has some issues. He needs attention in a bad way. Either by playing victim, or martye, or yelling at everyone. He seems really insecure. The ego of Phillip is amazing too. His boasting about basketball like people thought he was a pro and he's in amazing shape? It's obviously lies since he used all the wrong words. He double dribbled Nd shot a ball and there was nothing but air? That means he commuted a turnover and missed the entire basket. |

I don't know man, I don't view Philip as a "liar," he's just out there b.s.'ing to pass the time. He's fun to listen to...seriously, who's gonna honestly believe he believes he played against guys, "twice as tall" as him. I don't know too many 12 foot human beings. He's having fun...he knows being a crazy guy can get ya far in the game...plus, it's marketable. When he's out signing autographs (yes, these Survivor folks have fan-signings) he'll be (and probably has been) quite popular.

So far he's the only one that makes this season entertaining. |

So far he's the only one that makes this season entertaining. I just remember his first season... all he had to do was let everyone know he was just playing crazy.... but you could tell he was upset how he was received and no... he wasn't joking. Heck, if he is just goofing off that's cool. Obviously the crew knows he will say anything and maybe that's what they hope for. No telling where this stuff comes from... but I just get the sense he isn't joking "that much". And that he is so wacky for real most of the time, that his goofing off is lost in it. I don't think he is a jerk. I think he means well, but he is out there. |

So far he's the only one that makes this season entertaining. Agreed. And I think Malcolm is playing a smart game so far. He's been so far under the radar, even on the aired episodes which is strange as I'd think he is one of the more popular faves. Just let Phillip continue to believe he's the CEO, kick butt in challenges, and then strike... |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() What will be interesting is when he gets voted off or back against the wall. I think HE thinks he is in total control, that getting voted off would be a complete shock to him. |

He was strong in challenges but kept his head down and otherwise made sure everybody like him. It almost worked too . |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() I think that's a successful technique to get to the finals... You may need to get a bit more aggressive at the end to establish yourself as a player, not a nice guy, but that's about it. I think if I played, that's my route. Too much work to mastermind like Boston Rob. Just keep your mouth shut, be nice, kick but in challanges, don't be abrasive. Have people come to YOU to be the swing vote, etc. Then make a big move with 4-5 people left to let people know you are playing and not coasting... Like in this season, I wouldn't even mess with Shamar. Just let him dig his own grave. I would be agreeable with other that don't like him, but not be vocal about it. I don't know, just my 0.02. Sensei ![]() | ![]() I know it's early, but it looks like Cochran has grown up some. He doesn't seem as spastic trying to "play" the game - just let the game come to him and observe this time. |

I think last time he was picked on by his tribe so much. I'm glad he flipped and made sure they didn't win. Screw Ozzy. |

I would do that... But SCARY! Jeff impressed me with that. What I'm surprised me could have been a lack of safety in the transfer. Maybe they did it the safest way possible, but I figured they would do a double carabeiner system. Have him tied into the chopper, step out, tie him into the rock and unclip the chopper. BUT, that could be risky to have a chopper tied down (chopper to him, him to ground) even for a second. I'm not a chopper safety guy. But there was obviously two moments where he wasn't tied down and had to make a transfer. Dangerous stuff! Honestly, I would rather just climb it!

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I couldn't be convinced to do it either way, but I also thought it odd that there wasn't a backup attachment to the helicopter. IF that thing takes off, and I am not inside it, I would rather take my chances dangling from a strong cord than hoping I land on something soft. Yikes. I am also the girl who is too scared to crawl to the top of the wall at the indoor climbing place, though. |

I couldn't do it...I hate heights...I would have had to be all harnessed up...and even then I don't know. What I want to know is where the safety guy went? Did he "climb down ten feet and hang out" until the shot was done???? |

However, there could be a chance he got into the chopper, but I doubt it. I had the same question though. I also assume the Jeff was tied down but they hid the harness and rope somehow. |

Exactly. The first time he was on, I think he was legitimately a little off his rocker. Now I think he's just playing it up for the camera. |
