Just heard from Jess.  She's saying that everything seems to be pretty smooth with the changes to the swim start.  She also mentioned there are small differences she's noticing (ie  all the body marking was done with the stamp type numbers like in Kona as opposed to the magic marker type marking).  Most of our BT family is out on the bike course now.  IMCA live feed is up and running smoothly too.

Pretty exciting stuff!!!!

Aha.  Thanks.  That window is not popping up for me, probably a Firefox issue.  Will use IE for that.

Or Canada, which is much more prestigious (and the 25th anniversary this year).

Outstanding news about the BT'ers. There were some STRONG swims in there. Now for the fun one...the bike. I think I'm gonna enjoy watching the carnage.

And thanks a million, Mr. Boombostic, for the updates. You rock too. I might just have to do the IMFL thread this year, call it my contribution to a better ironman community.

He WILL KQ, just might give us all a heart attack in the process.

That remains to be seen, even if he crushes the bike he's got to prove himself on the run ........ definitely will be cheering for him all the way of course!!

The issue he's going to have is that is AG is so small in numbers and this race was only given 45 AG slots, so M 18-24 may only get 2-3, so he needs to podium for the AG. It's gonna be fun to watch!

I just looked at the entry list and there are only 2 females in the 60-64 AG (50% chance of KQ) and there is only 1 70-74 entered, all she has to do is finish.  (BTW, this is not a knock, I hope when I'm that age I can still walk to the fridge to get a beer and ice cream, I was just making an observation).

El Flaco - 2007-08-26 7:06 AM Tollakson is definitely a threat. He swims like a fish and can hammer the bike. Not a top notch runner but still very solid. He lived around here before turning pro.

He won an OLY I did a couple of weeks ago, I saw him flying on the bike and I got to see him finish the race (as I was heading out of transition for the run

I haven't been online. Are there bike splits for 1/3 or at least 1/2 of the bike?

IMKY doesn't seem to have any splits available for the bike.  IMCA has a 40 mi, 72 mi, and final split, but nothing from Louisville this year.

Courtesy of Tri Take Me Away (Jess).

The finish area for Louisville is on 4th street live.  Tons of bar hopping and its enclosed with some type of glass panels.  The area is air conditioned!!!

I just looked at the list of people already KQ'd and compared it to the list at IMKY for 18-24 males and it looks like everyone is trying for a slot to Kona so chances are 1st and 2nd will go and no rolldown unless they just don't have time/$ to go, correct??

I don't know about the bike course, but since they don't have any bike splits I would assume it's just a big loop like IM FL???  For FL they don't have bike splits either   Kinda stinks because spectators don't really have a good idea where you're at on the course.

According to the website it is a 2 loop course.  I don't know why they would not give splits.  I am sure there is some reason but it sucks not getting updates.
