Shoeless - 2009-04-07 12:14 AM So, if you just got a new supersuit, and you are going to race in it on Saturday, would you wear it in the chlorinated pool to be sure you'll be comfortable? Or, would you assume that, since it is really comfy on the bike and the run, you won't have trouble on the swim? I just hate to expose it to chlorine if I don't have to. Inquisitve toppage.

I would try it out. I have a fear of things messing up on a race, though

Shoeless - 2009-04-06 11:11 PM I got a quick ride in tonight, but every mile counts. I think I'm the only one on this team with biking as my super power.

I bought a new race suit for this year and don't plan on wearing it in the pool beforehand.  It fits well.  Its comfy on the bike and run.  And it doesn't feel at all constrictive in the shoulders.

But I'm also guessing a quick exposure wouldn't hurt it too bad as long as you washing it good right away.

Morning Everybody!

Today (and Thursday) is my long day in the studio with my students. It's hard to get in workouts, but since my supper power is running and I have a race on Saturday, I am going to try and get in a short run this evening. We'll see...

Gosh I am sore from all the swimming yesterday!

What's everybody else up to?

Got my road bike back from our roving mechanic, and she is almost brand new looking. He cleaned her up, touched up some scratches, and I got a new drivetrain (well, everything but the crank). Upgraded from Shimano 105 to Ultegra, and he replaced the shifter cables with the new teflon coated ones. My bike is now officially worth more than I spent on it!

Next in line for the upgrade is my tri bike. I'm going to go a little more all out on her. And I'm contemplating a new paint job at the end of the season.

My hope is all of this will make me faster!

I ran this morning but it was not a good run   My legs just had no oomph in them. I think my body is telling me I need a rest day.

Had a short swim this morning, and a short bike for this afternoon. Race week, so I've cut back pretty far. Doing only what I feel like doing.
