You don't need to liven up nothin'.

This is Ironman Research... this is for Ironman Racing and Training Nutrition.

There is nothing entertaining about this.

Some of the people on this board brag about sipping expensive wines, gnawing on gourmet cookies, binging on junk food and non-stop, reckless partying; Not Me.  I'm all about getting down to business and Making it Happen.  Now.

While othere were celebrating the New Year, I was on the trainer grinding away thinking, "Man, another day of training lost."  Save the "liven up" food and pansy entertainment for the when I cross that white line on July 25th.  Until then, just give me the facts, the cold hard unsugarcoated black-and-white nitty gritty facts, a heaping helping of discipline, sprinkled with lots of HTFU, and lets get back on dreadmill, the drainer and finish another 60 Laps in the Pool!   Insert tongue in cheek while reading.  This is my way of livening up   THIS IS IRONMAN PEOPLE.  NOW GET TRAINING!

Oh, NOW IT IS ON!!!!! I challenge you, good sir, to a self supported Ironman race. Just you and me. You may use and bring any nutritional aid you wish, however I will race taking in only fine ales and cab sav's for hydration while eating only gourmet cheese's and crackers and every 60min I have to stop and do a shot with a local fraternity chapter.......and I will crush you.....and likely vomit on you as well....

It's not you it's me.

I'm just not ready for a long term commitment.

I love you but I'm not in love with you.

We can still be friends.

I just wanted to say goodbye to the "balloon" phase of my offseason program.  Tomorrow I go back to work, get back to training, and start a master's degree program.  sweet.

I'm watching a commercial for the "Potty Patch". Sounds like something y'all will need to put under your bike when you're on the trainer doing your hardcore workouts! ESPECIALLY the all-nighter rides!

Anyone else annoyed by the push back on signing up to volunteer? It's now set for the 25th, excpet they have a special login section "if you have already signed up and need to fill out a subform for your job area". If volunteer registration is not open, how can there be people who already signed up? And, if there are already people who signed up why can others not sign up yet?

Anyway, to those racing, keep up the training!!!

I would not worry about it too much.  I volunteer as a Lifeguard in 08’ and was not contacted until two week out from the race.  Didn’t get very much info then as well.  I think they wait until who show up to really get into the details of the assignments.

Thank for volunteering!

I will be the guy ahead of gopennstate on the swim.  That’s Jenn with 2 N’s.
