Well, aren't you special? I opened it and as soon as I saw what it did, knowing that Scout put it up, I assumed it was pointless, so I didn't waste my time.

Now you understand my perspective on things.

Oh, I have TONS of explosives stories.

When I was 14 or 15 some friends and I were trying to pass the time in the summer... so we decided to build something. We took apart a bike pump, cleaned the inside well,  and sealed it with silicone. We drilled a hole in the bottom big enough for some cannon fuse, Then we put about an inch of black powder in the bottom. We wrapped a D battery in electrical tape, and put some vaseline on it so it fit super tightly... but slid smoothly. We put tent stakes through the 'legs' of the pump to hold it in place.

We lit that thing, not sure what to expect. Hollllly crap. It worked perfectly. That battery shot out of there like a rocket. Out of sight instantly. We kinda laughed for a second, then looked at each other, and sprinted into his garage.

We never did figure out where that battery got to. If it would have hit something, it would have done serious damage. We figure it landed in the cornfield by his house.

Interesting.

White Sox just picked up Ken Griffey Jr. from the Reds.  No word yet on who the Sox are giving up in the trade.

Ah, but some are at least entertaining, albeit still pointless.

It is? It's only 11 a.m. here. That means ... six hours to go. Ugh.

I KNOW! It's almost lunch time. And lunch time means that 6 pm is coming ever closer. Plus, I'm going home during lunch to continue schlepping stuff upstairs (or rather, cleaning out the fridge, most likely), so that will help. Man, I wish I could just take the rest of the freakin' week off.

Scout. Question for you. I have a friend who's a major in the Air Force. He just spent six weeks in South America ``on vacation'' ... what do you think the odds are that he wasn't just ``on vacation'' in Bogota, Medillin and then Peru and Chile?

Yes - but I have been here for 6 hours so that is half way -

You see, how it works is - you take the total time and divide that by two and then you take that number and add it to the start time, and that would be the half-way point.

Well, the rest of the day, at least  And tomorrow Believe me, an extra day and a half would be immensely helpful in the moving process. I spend from 8 to 6:30 in the car and at work. I have to shower, dress and eat somewhere in there too. Asleep by 10ish. Which means 3 hours at night for the last 2 days hasn't even put a dent in things.
