Nicole,

There's a thread in Tri Talk called 'now what' that was started by someone who has a race this weekend and the weather is going to be similar to what you faced in your race

they are looking for some advice - Tracy and I both thought you would be a great resource since you just went through it

We're PM'ing. My race was wet but not cold so I was able to get away without having to put clothes onto a wet body. This one looks to be both cold and wet, increasing the difficulty!

It's soooooooooo quiet in here!

Everyone must be out training!!!

we still have 5 days left counting today -

I got my first workout in this morning and headed back to get the swim in later this afternoon

I'm over 100% on the run and closing in on the bike and swim - I will definitely be at 100% and change for all areas!

I was feeling so good yesterday that I went out for a low intensity run this morning. It felt great to be out running again. Since I only missed 3 days of training I adjusted my goals back to 90% of the original distances. With today's runs I'm past 100% on the run goal, with one more run to come on Monday.

Beth, BTW, nice legs!

Well, the good news is that I've been over the top on my run goal for a while now, and will go over for swim & bike during my race tomorrow. The bad news is that I'm only a little over 1/2 way on my strength training goal... Somehow that has just slipped through the cracks this month. I'll make up some of it in the next few days, and luckily it wasn't a very lofty goal to begin with. Hopefully my over-goal performance on s/b/r will help balance out my pathetic showing in the strength trainig department this month....

The only challenge I missed my making my goals was when I tried throwing the strength training in - what is it with that?

you can do it, but don't over do it -we like you healthy!

Hi all,

Just a quick note, I heard there were legs that I had to check out!

I have been out of commission for the past few days with food poisoning. If you have ever had it, I am sorry. If you have never had, may you never get it!

I may have to lower my bike goal. I have about 13 miles to do, but I am not sure I will be able to get them in. I still have 1000 swim yards, but that is pretty low impact, so I should be good there.

I cannot figure out how to add photos, so I cannot post my legs. I do not have the software to compress the photos.

I hope everyone is well.

Oh, food poisoning  - that is no fun.  Let me know in the next day or so if we need to make an adjustment

I hope you are feeling better

oh, and I'm sure we can help with the how to's on posting pics, but we'll let it slide until you're feeling better

Stop in and say hi to Tracy today if you have a minute - she had a rough day yesterday which involved a motorist - don't worry she's ok - just a little shaken up

Posted my DOUBLE MILES from my race today to the spreadsheet, putting me over the top for s/b/r goals, and 3 days left in the month to train! My race was a bit chilly today. It was threatening rain, but luckily it held off for the duration of the race. I even brought home some hardware! Second place in my AG (but -- uhhh -- there were only FOUR in my AG, so I got hardware for finishing in the top 50% - go figure!) I'll post a RR when I get offical times.
