Who all is planning on heading down that weekend in June?  I would like to go and think that I can plan on it... tentatively for now... but with more details I'm hoping I could commit!

I would love to be able to meet but I don't think it will be in the cards for me. Too much going on.

I'm doing the Playtri camp in July, so I'm out.  Two trips to Louisville in a year is enough for me.

Yup, just goes to confirm what I posted earlier.....I had gotten word from Mike that he was going to be in Louisville so I guess if WTC is releasing the data then I can reiterate it here....

4th Street Live is going to be REALLY rockin' with Mike on the mic.!!

YEAH!!!!  This made my day!!!!  Can't stand one more year of the idiot burping into the mike. He called someone an ironwoman last year. Sigh.

I know the race drink for IMKY has been discussed somewhere in the forums but I can't find it through the search feature.  Does anyone know what they will be serving on the course?  Thanks in advance!
I'm very excited for this event but I'm starting to freak out about the heat!  Hopefully I'll be used to it by then...PA is pretty similar in summer temps to KY.

Finally had a nice long ride today - I've decided to start training despite my injury.  I only went about 49 miles but felt ok most of the ride.  I feel I'm waay behind the rest of you guys though.  So what is your logest long-ride so far this season?

I haven't really put in that much longer of a ride... I did 58 miles a couple of weekends ago and followed that up the next weekend with a 3 1/2 hour trainer ride (the weather was crappy) which I'm guessing was equivalent to a distance further than the 58.  This weekend I'm meeting some fellow MI BT'ers to do an Olympic distanced training event so I haven't gone out for a long ride... but all in all I haven't done any "huge" distance rides... oddly enough, my training plan doesn't really have a lot of them in there.  Maybe I should be worried!!!

Mike, I don't think you are that far behind at all. Today I did a brick consisting of a 57 mile bike and 3 mile run.

My longest ride has been 4hrs and I can't remember if it was high 60's or low 70's on mileage. I remember it was a crappy day and super hilly so maybe on the slower end.

I am heading to a friends cottage over Memorial weekend (which will usually include some debotchery) so I am thinking I might spring a century on Friday if the weather holds.

Mike,
Only 39.6 for me so far. Tomorrow I'm shooting for 50+ and next weekend I'm planning on a century with some fellow BT'ers. You're not that far behind. We'll see you toe the line in August.

You should try a foam roller or "The Stick" on your IT band. It hurts like heck but definitely worth the pain to stay injury free.

Man now I am feeling behind. My plan has been calling for only 2 hour long rides for the past few weeks. So my longest has been 39 miles. I was feeling alright about it but now I am nervous. Maybe up it next weekend from 2 hours to maybe 2.5 hours. I am no where near a century like some of you guys. Yikes!

I have been dealing with an IT band for the past 7 weeks. Went to the doctor and have been doing physical therapy to heal it up. Have also been going slower and have not been doing any interval or fast stuff. So far so good. Sometimes it hurts sometimes it doesn't. Hopefully I can make it the whole way. If you have any questions shoot me a message. I can tell you what I have been doing to strengthen it and heal it up.

Wow...that was weird!!  O.K. back to my totals...

Worked my way up to longs of 58 miles on the bike and 9 miles on the run last week......I am aiming to get my first century ride in before the middle of June and will have my runs increasing by .5 mile per week from here on out.....

Train smart all!

Since your runs are increasing, maybe it's just dehydration   Sorry I had to make a potty joke.

My longest ride is just over 4 hours right now.
