How's Florida? You ready to go??? Weather forecast hot?

FL is nice..the hubby and 2 of the kids are out on the beach collecting shells right now.
Temps will be in mid to high 70's today, water temp is mid 70's and winds not too bad (right now).
Tomorrow is suppose to be the same.

Last night was the athletes dinner/meeting.  The nerves set in with all the "cutoff" discussion.
Now just getting my swim & bike bags ready....that is also getting the nerves going.
This afternoon is bike and bag drop off.

Tomorrow is the big show.   Just ready to get this show on the road...although I am having periodic moments of "what the heck am I doing"

Only in Florida would they let you wear cut-offs on the swim....

No worries!

ETA: Well maybe Texas too.....

Yeah, well Linda would probably be top 10 out of the swim even in cut-offs!!!! Good luck, Girl!!!!

Good luck Tracy and Chet! I have a bunch of friends doing the B2B.

Sam and Tony, if you see a short 1/2 hispanic 1/2 asian guy witha slightly taller brunette, say hi to Scottie and Jennifer for me. They are good people and are doing the OBX marathon too.

Go Linda. I know you will do awesome.

I had to come home early today. Started feeling worse as the day went on. At least I made it through the train ride without hurling. Slept for about 5 hours. Had some soup and now off to bed for the night.

Hi  everyone!
I know, you all haven't heard from me in a long time!  Some fun reasons and some not, but more about that later.  I just wanted to check in and say hi.  I won't pretend that I was able to catch up with the last 200 pages!!!  But I read enough to see that some people have an exciting weekend coming up.   Good luck to everyone racing this weekend.  I know you'll all make us proud! Laughing   You put in the time, you'll be great!!  And I can't wait to hear all about it!

Karen

No need to go back 200 pages - I'll sum it up for you - there was some smack talk, there were some races, some did better than expected, others didn't.  There was some more smack talk.  Bunch of people meeting at the Lonestar Tri Festival in Galveston.  More smack talk.  Sure there was some pearls of wisdom, but that's a lot of oysters to shuck to find them...

Welcome Home!

How come everyone considers other IM's, but no one ever considers IM MOO?  I'm beginning to get a complex.  I mean I am coming all the way to TX and no one can retrace the steps to WI?????

Totally psyched for my training run today...tons of BT'ers will be toeing the line, it is going to be 65F and I get to meet one of the other ESI coaches who happens to be a kick-A*% athlete, Schmize.  It's amazing how well you sleep when your only race expectation is not to race. Laughing

i don't want to get my a$$ kicked by you more than i have too.  moo isn't out of the question.

i talked to a few buddies over in florida yesterday.  they had some jellyfish to deal with yesterday.  also interesting, on the coverage that turn buoy looks huge but these guys tell me you can barely see it when you're standing in the water.

This is my reason ^^^^   If I didn't have four or five friends from Greenville doing Louisville, I would have considered it.

LOL, John, that is too funny...

Suzy, when I am ready to train for an IM, IMMOO is the one I want to do!  But by then you'll be off doing the Triple T or Kona or something like that

Totally psyched for Linda today! Good luck on your race (training run), Suzy!!!

Suzy, I'm considering Racine HIM... Maybe the following year I can do IMMoo.

Sounds like our MG is doing awesome this weekend!  You guys motivate me to go long!!! inspire me!

So I've been able to do 2 2k pool swims this past week; I feel confident that a HIM will be completed this year.

Man, you will have no trouble with an HIM this year.  It sounds like all you may need to work on is your swimming and that just takes a little time.  Ask Barry about how much his swimming improve since the beginning of the year.

You WILL do it!
